I carefully chose this school to teach me as I am a busy person and do not have much time to waist. I finished 3 evening classes and strongly agree that training is extremely important if you have serious intentions. Teachers are great, Simon Longmore is like a deep well of great experience and knowledge that you can draw from. School location is convenient and evening classes end not too late. Staff is nice, helpful, reliable. Overall, a friendly and professional atmosphere definitely helps to overcome the challenges of stepping into a new career.
I was really nervous before attending the Two Week Intensive course, but the VADA team went above and beyond to make me feel safe and informed about the program, and Simon's coaching completely transformed my confidence and approach to acting. After only two weeks I've learned so much about myself and I highly recommend this program to anyone who is looking to improve their skills and receive lots of constructive and honest feedback on their work.
I am just completing the two week acting intensive and must say I am feeling 100 times better and ready for auditions. Not only the owner but the staff are well equipped to prepare people who have never acted before. Very impressed and would highly recommend the school. Thank you very much VADA!
Whether you’re an actor of any level or skillset, VADA is a great place to learn and make connections in the industry! I started acting earlier this year and took the Pace 1 & 2 Intro to Acting courses and it was an amazing experience. Not only did I feel included and a part of a community, but it was the instructors such as Simon Longmore that made my first acting classes so much fun. I couldn’t thank them enough for all their motivation, encouragement and years of knowledge and experience they have to share with actors at any stage of their career. Not to mention, all of their instructors are working actors who each bring something unique to take away in your bag of skills. I’d recommend VADA to anybody looking to become a working actor in Vancouver because these guys will set you down the right path as they coach you about the business side of things getting headshots, finding an agent, composing a professional looking resume, etc just as much as they teach you to become an actor who can be real and live on camera or in front of an audience.
Took the two week intensive with Simon and honestly learned more than I expected! I always thought that I should move more.. do more.. exaggerate more when performing scenes.. but I learned that staying still, and calm while delivering lines is much for effective! I appreciated the freedom of making mistakes, and being critiqued on them which helped me better my performance the next time. If you want to be an actor and want to see if it’s really what you want to do as a career.. I highly recommend taking the 2 week intensive! Last but not least, thanks so much Simon for believing in me even when I doubted myself, it really motivated me to keep going and not give up. Thank you. Look forward to taking more classes in the near future!
Im not one to write reviews but I had completed the Two week on camera acting intensive class and It was literally the best choice I ever made, all the reviews I read prior to joining really live up to the expectations and much more. All the staff and teachers are beyond amazing and super helpful in guiding you to taking the right steps into the acting industry. Definitely recommend to everyone new in the industry. Godbless VADA
If you want to be an actor with no previous experience, I recommend vada. Simon is a great instructor, kind with a sense of humour. The vada staff are all so kind and make you feel safe and life you belong, I definitely recommend.
VADA is a very fun school to learn acting, I’ve learned a lot, about acting, myself and how camera tech and lighting works too. It’s important to learn all this too, to make it easier for everyone around you when on set. I originally took PACE 1 then now taking full year diploma and it’s been a lot of fun and eye opening experience. I’ve definitely grown a lot and gotten feedback from each and every teacher, learning different techniques and seeing their perspective of how to act. Very grateful to have taken this chance, and to be in this school, teachers are understanding and push us just the right about to challenge us, while still giving support, thank you -Alexander or Alex for short
I attended the 2 week on-camera intensive course and it was amazing! Teachers are so nice and professional so I definitely recommend VADA especially for beginners in acting.
