Utsav Indian Cuisine

Utsav is an awesome hidden gem. Located in a small strip next to a halal food mart and nail salon, it is very easy to miss. Their food and service are both excellent, and I have never been disappointed by anything I have tried. Service is also incredibly fast. They are *not* open continuously throughout the day (lunch hours and dinner hours only) so check times before you go.

This has been a family favorite since they opened. The food is always excellent and the service is great! Whenever my daughter is home, it's the first place she wants to return to. They are very accommodating and will prepare your food as spicy or non-spicy as you like. If you love Indian food (or want to try it) it's a great place to go.

The food is great, good service and it's pretty consistent. I've been coming here for years and the prices have slowly gone up but the last increase in prices was very drastic and not in line with the type of establishment it is at all. The lamb dish that I love is now $32 which is unreasonable for what it is in my opinion. There are much more affordable and equally delicious establishments that will be earning more of my business in the future.

***Review in regards to many of the 1-star reviews we have read here*** We have been to this restaurant quite a few times and we have never been disappointed! My husband loves the goat dishes but recently our friend got us hooked on their vegetarian menu. The food is so flavorful, and they accurately adjust the spice levels, I love spicy but my kids don't. The food is filling and healthy, it's not at all like typical vegetarian food, tasteless and light, I mean, my husband was actually eating it. 😁 The only thing we have noticed here, and it seems cultural maybe, is that non-Americanized Indians on multiple occasions have come in with the intention of making a scene, then playing the victim. One of the times when were there a group of like 20 showed up. They were told that there would be a wait since they had no reservation. This place is not huge. And when the group was told there would be a wait they started getting very aggressive and demanding free food due to their inconvenience, they were snapping and whistling at the waiters attending the tables that were still ordering and eating, and when all their demands weren't met or they didn't get immediate attention they started shouting about how this place will "suffer with all the bad reviews...that one of the women there was pregnant and it was somehow discrimination that they came and had to wait..."because other customers were there first and were in the middle of eating so the workers didn't move them to adjust space. it was ridiculous and made all the guests feel uncomfortable. On another occasion I ran in to grab my take out and it was about half an hour until they closed and an Indian family came in and wanted to sit, the workers told them that the kitchen was closing and the man in the group literally told the worker that they would have to stay open until they were ready to order, they couldn't order yet because they were waiting for 4 more people to show up. The worker said this is not how it works here and these customers also started with the shouting and the threats. This is the main reason I came and looked at the reviews, specifically the 1-Star reviews. I've seen some pretty rude customers that clearly don't understand how restaurants in America work or how the workers should be treated. This place is amazing and the food is fantastic. It's comfortable and calm, well for the most part....we definitely recommend this restaurant.

Very good service. Staff was friendly and fast. Even the owner came out to ask how was it. Food was good. As my company said that it's more authentic Indian food than toned down in other Indian restaurants.
