"Urban Tadka specializes in Awadhi cuisine, also known as royal cuisine, which is native to the city of Nawabs, Lucknow. Awadhi cuisine is highly influenced by the Mughals cooking technique where meat kebabs are cooked over open charcoal and curries are cooked over a slow flame with aromatic spices, rose petals, and kewra water. Moreover, Awadhi cuisine is made with passion and love, something that you can taste in our food."

Horrible! I was looking forward to trying this place since I've been following them on instagram and food looks amazing but let me tell you this was the worst experience with food delivery I ever had! First if all took an hour to prepare my food. Then when it finally arrived it was cold, ordered butter chicken which tasted like canned tomato soup it was watery and no flavor. The nasn was clearly store bought and tasted like the stuff u get at superstore. I also ordered goat curry which was flavorless and the meat was tough and tasted like it had just been thawed out from tbe freezer. The chicken kebabs were burnt and chewey. The whole meal was inedible. So disappointing.
Did takeout from Urban Tadka today. I love East Indian cuisine and have had lots but oh boy the food here is really something! My chicken dish had caramelized onions in a deeply complex flavourful sauce. Like nothing I’ve had. I’m a fan now!!
I had their food during curry cup and they made a really delicious dish in that competition. So, i was really excited to try them. I ordered their goat combo yesterday. I am very disappointed to say that the goat salan was not fresh. It had a weird taste to it, i was sure that the onions went bad. It had throw it out. The chicken tikka kabob was not bad but it could have been made more flavorful. I had high expectations from this place but now i am only disappointed
One of the best butter chicken in the city. Also love that they have curry offerings that I have not found in other traditional restaurants. I like ordering a bunch of frozen curries and chapati to have around for when I'm tight on cooking time.
Best authentic Indian food ever. Feels like I was eating in India for sure. I recommend the Goat Salan, Nalli Nihari and Goat Bhuna. Delicious! Always order from them when my GF is nostalgic of home.
Average experience. Poor service. Mistake in order. Delivery thought DoorDash didn’t work and we had to pick up. Dal, veggie Khorma, chicken tikka and paneer tikka were just ok. We really liked the chicken Khorma. Naan was store bought. Over all the dishes lacked sparkle.
Best Indian food I've had in Vancouver, hands down!! I've eaten here twice within the last week and can't wait for my next meal with them.
Great food , delicious food ... should have taken a picture but we finished the food earlier , Hope they had a restaurant to sit and dine for a better experiences ... Tried the goat and the chicken tikka kebab . Worth the money .. you get a free side of rice too
Bland, watery, flavour less, terrible naan no frills has better ones. Positive feedback: good quality meat.
The food took me back to the streets of Mumbai, and this is coming from someone who grew up in Mumbai. Highly recommended nalli nahiri & murg musallam also the Hara bhara kebab
