Universal Truck Rental, Moving & Storage

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! We rented a truck from them for a one-way trip from Vancouver to Toronto. It was a disaster. The truck wasn't ready when it was promised. The battery was faulty and they didn't want us to just replace it instead insisting on us getting it serviced at their shop which was impossible due to our timelines. On our trip across the country the truck stopped working. We had it towed and we paid over $1,000 to get it back on the road many issues, all of which should have been fixed before it was rented to us and the company refused to reimburse us saying we needed to use their shops which again was impossible to keep on our schedule. The owner of this company was unprofessional and difficult to work with. He even insisted we pay the entire fee upfront which we now understand why! THIS COMPANY IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED! USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Dont Bother, The owner of the company is Rude and doesnt seem interested in renting a vehicle unless he dictates the all the details. I went online to get a quote as requested on their website. The quote I received back was too good to be true judging by all the other quotes I received. I sent a note in their contact us form and the response I got back was "The pricing is on the website" " How would you like to proceed" I emailed back with several pertinant questions only to get a response back stating that they cant help me. I guess I asked too many questions before entering my credit card information! What happened to good people in this world. There are still some but few and far between. I normally dont bother with reviews unless they are positive however I wanted to help others before they get in a jam with this compay.

They suck.. the owner is CARLOS GUY .. this guys gives a quotation by making a list of items over the phone .. than comes homes loads the truck and than demands for a lot of money.. by saying we are moving in more stuff than what we had told even through they are exactly the same. When you confront him he starts abusing you and threatens to just offload the stuff right outside the house.. all in all this people are outright cheats

Called in operation of hours even google maps show open ..but they didn’t answer the phone calls every time

The owner is a crook. He will try to rent you a truck that isn't at your location.
