I purchased a set of motorcycle tires at Universal Cycle Services LTD. In Calgary September 6 and they installed them as  well. I picked up the bike and drove back to Cochrane that afternoon. The next morning the rear tire was flat. I aired it up with my compressor and sprayed water all around and discovered the leaks through the spokes. I called them back and explained the issue, they were apologetic and indicated it was likely a pinched tube and I could bring it back. i did that and first of all I figured I would have been priority on a re-do but 5 hours later it was ready to go. I brought the bike home and checked it the next morning and no issue until I checked the pressure and it was at 46 PSI on a max 41 PSI tire. I thought they would want to know about this for a chance to improve for future service, so I called to inform them and spoke with Don. He told me they overinflated to seat the beads. I said that is understandable but why not drop the pressure to operating pressure after that? He went on to tell me that an overinflated tire is better than an under inflated tire. I went on to tell him that I worked in the tire industry for 25 years and under inflated and overinflated tires are not good and can cause uneven wear along with other issues. I was extremely taken back when he said that the operator needs to check pressures regularly and he asked if I was not taught that in my years of tire business experience. I told him what I was taught was customer service and that if for any reason which I can’t think of one that we thought it necessary to send an overinflated tire out the door, then I would have notified and explained this to the customer. We have tire service purchase options folks. Choose wisely.

This is the place for all your motorcycle needs. They have a vapour blaster! Amazing results. Also they guys are helpful and they genuinely want to help you out. They have answered so many questions about my custom build just out of the love for motorcycles. Also carry tons of parts at really competitive prices.

I dealt mainly with the mechanic Don and he was courteous and professional. There was a pretty long to-do list on my bike and the guys got it purring like new! Cost was exactly what I expected.

Universal cycle has been nothing. Short of fantastic to me and to my dad. They are the first ones that helped me get a helmet and a jacket that fit properly, and gave me amazing recommendations, being a new writer at the time, that helped me have a much more enjoyable experience. I could recommend universal cycle more.

This has to be one of the BEST shops in Calgary, great friendly service.. I needed two back tires fixed up and they were able to squeeze them in to get my son and I back out riding.. I'll be returning back to them for any and all services needed.

I have to say I'm disappointed in the out come of the service I received. I had  2 bikes done there, and sent about 5K for each,  one was a engine rebuild, I bought a set of carbs for 800.00, I picked up the bike and found the carbs were leaking, they were good and said to bring it back. I did and was charged 700.00 for them to put another set on. The second bike I had was in parts, the estimate was about $2,000, final price was $5,000. after a year I got it back, the gas tank wasn't put on. I tried to install it myself but had to re-run the cables. I couldn't get it started so I'm trying to figure out why. I found they used zip ties on all the fuel lines, handle bars loose, muffler not together. They do say bring it back but living in Edmonton and bringing them back is a lot of time and money.

Excellent service from Universal.  Rich and the boss agreed to fit us in at short notice we are on a cross country trip.  Steve and his co-worker saw that we got a new tire installed today and we were up and running in no time. Thanks guys!

Helpful and friendly service, I highly recommend this shop if you’re looking for riding gear.

Had my KLR 650 Cylinder machined for over sized piston. They did an excellent job,  cylinder was ready quickly, and the pricing was excellent. My goto shop for all things KLR!

Worked with Steve to find a mid gear. Fantastic service and Top shelf part. very quick to reply. Will buy again
