This morning, my son and I went to the U.S. Consulate in Calgary for our scheduled appointment. While we were waiting, my son suddenly began to feel unwell. The staff noticed immediately and responded with great care and professionalism. They kindly offered him water, provided a wheelchair, and made sure he was comfortable.nnTo minimize his discomfort, they thoughtfully arranged for us to have our interview earlier so that he would not need to wait any longer.nnIn addition, when the staff realized that my English was not very strong, they promptly arranged for a translator to assist me. This made the entire process much smoother and helped me feel much more at ease.nnWhat touched me most was that one staff member stayed with my son the entire time. When I stepped out to bring the car around, the staff member patiently remained by his side, ensuring he was safe and supported until I returned. This level of responsibility and compassion truly meant a great deal to us.nnThroughout the entire experience, the staff demonstrated exceptional professionalism, attentiveness, efficiency, and genuine kindness. Their thoughtful actions turned what could have been a stressful situation into one filled with reassurance and gratitude.nnWe are sincerely thankful for their outstanding service and humanity. This experience left us with a very positive and lasting impression of the U.S. Consulate in Calgary.

I went here for my daughter’s CRBA and Passport. I was really nervous at first reading the past reviews and security guidelines BUT LET ME MAKE YOU FEEL BETTER! Everyone here was reasonable, helpful, and so kind. We left our phones in the car and brought our key fob which we were able to keep. I only brought a folder of needed documents and a small purse with things for my toddler wallet, snacks, water, toy car, potty seat in the middle of potty training. The lady at security said one snack was allowed along with everything else except the potty seat. And what’s not allowed is just stored with the security and you can pick it up after. We were probably there for an hour. I just wanted to give peace of mind especially to those with small kids. They also had books and played cartoons for the kids in the waiting area. Definitely not scary and I wouldn’t mind coming back for any future service.

Everything is organized like clockwork — very efficient and fast, considering that only one officer conducts the interviews. Despite what the instructions say, phones are actually allowed; they just have to be turned off. The staff is quite friendly and helpful

Went to renew a passport, I had waited too long to renew by mail. Showed up 20 minutes before my appointment and only a 5 minute line to get inside. They checked my documentation before security screening, then waited to go upstairs. Everyone was very professional, and once my documents were submitted and reviewed I was done in another 20 minutes. You can bring a cellphone turned off but no bags or backpacks. The process is easy if you have everything required.
