They totally messed up my hair, and over charged me! I told them i just wanted a trim to neaten it up, and to dye my hair a few shades darker brown. Well neither of those things were successfully completed! My hair is now a red colour, and there are horribly choppy layers all over the place. She cut it into a "V" shape, and its not thats wasn't even completed properly and there are stray long/shot bits everywhere! To top it all off the person who was dying my hair forgot to put the lotion on my forehead and ears and it left dye marks on my skin.
Anna did an amazing job on my hair! I came for a cut & colour & the fact that I got amazing results would be an understatement. She handled my hair like no other stylist ever has. It was my first time ever that I had decided to get a bob cut & unlike other stylists who just want to chop away hair without a hiccup, she asked me at least twice that I really did want to cut my hair that short. She wasn’t scaring me or pulling my confidence low, but was just actually taking care of the fact that I did want a bob & was confident about it. In my experience, a lot of stylists don’t do that & just chop away lengths even if a customer has only asked for a trim. Also, I don’t why but all the stylists that I have visited in Toronto always wanted to thin my hair, Anna was the only one who actually advised me against it & gave me a few tips to tame my heavy hair. I think it’s safe to say that I have finally found my stylist! I am always going to come to her :
I had a great experience with Anna and Vania they had put in my great lengths hair extensions. My hair was ruined by previous salons. Unique touch hair salon offered a caring and compassionate experience, I will only go to unique touch hair salon for my hair care. I love my new hair and so does my husband and family.i was offered beverages and light snacks while I was there, I enjoyed my time spent at the salon. Thank you ladies for a experience full of compassion and quality care.
I have been a client of Unique Touch for over 15 years. I will not go anywhere else, I am obsessed with the way Anna Martins, the owner, takes care of my hair. As a hairstylist, I can't say enough of good things about Anna, she is very professional, great level of expertise, very personable...simply AMAZING!!!! The staff are professional and the salon is an oasis...good music, professionalism, the smiles in the salon instantly make my day!!!!! I trust Anna with my hair... she has never disappointed me. Whether I go in for a quick trim, color and in the last year Hair Extensions, I am always extremely happy!!! I can go on and on talking about this place but the one thing I'd like to emphasize on are the Hair Extensions from Great Lengths. Anna has given me beautiful thick long hair, the hair I have always wanted. The best thing I like about the hair is the quality...NO ONE can tell I have extensions, it looks like my real hair and I get tons of compliments. Anna matched the colour to perfection. The installation takes a long time but Anna doesn't rush, she wants it to be perfect...I can see the pride she takes in making it perfect every time. Anna installs the extensions by perfectly sectioning the hair and making it look so natural. Now...with extensions comes taking really good care of your hair. Ladies, take accountability and follow the instructions for amazing extensions. Anna explains how to take care of the your extensions...proper brush, good shampoo...etc. But once you go home, its your doing!! I get extensions 2 times a year...they last me 6 months and don't fall off, I may loose one or two but nothing significant. I highly recommend Unique Touch!! Anna is amazing and I couldn't imagine putting my hair on someone else's hands!!! Anna thank you for all of these years and for encouraging me to get Great Lengths extensions...you have transformed my life!!! I have sent some referrals your way and the ladies are beyond happy!!! I had an amazing experience at Unique Touch! Vania did highlights in my hair and they came out looking so much better than I even imagined! She is definitely talented and I highly recommend having your hair done by her. Everyone was super nice and friendly. Overall I had a great experience and I highly recommend going to this salon!
I bought a Groupon for the shampoo, cut and protein treatment and had a wonderful experience. I just had some vague ideas I had about what I wanted, and my stylist, Molly, took those and gave me a really flattering cut. We also went for lighter blonde highlights in my hair, which she applied expertly and took my dark roots and brassy leftover colour from a few months ago and totally transformed it into a natural look. I wasn't sure about the look of the place when I arrived, but don't let it fool you. They treat you really warmly and are welcoming, do a really thorough and professional job, and everyone who came in left with a big smile. The owner has run the place for over 30 years, she knows what she's doing ! :
5 stars for service, 1 star for experience. I don’t often get my hair done. It’s mostly because of having bad experiences with a hair salon I used to go to. The hairdressers would always look down on me and make me feel like a burden and wouldn’t generate any excitement, bother to make connections with me, and etc. I found a good deal on Groupon, for a great package of services at Unique Touch Hair Salon. I even read the reviews, and was willing to give them a try. They took me in later than the appointment was for, but it was fine because I had also showed up late. They asked me what I wanted to get done, and told them my two options. They said that they couldn’t lighten my ends which was fine, but made a huge stink when I told them I wanted to dye my hair black. They educated me on how it’s difficult to lighten dark hair if I ever wanted to afterwards and explained to me that I’m pale, and will probably hate it - to just dye my hair natural. Who rarely goes into a hair salon to dye their hair natural? I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt, and insisted that I wanted to dye it black. I was there for a total of 2 hours and nobody spoke a word to me. They were speaking to eachother in another language, and I observed how they were much friendlier to other clients. The only thing they bothered to mention was that I was paying extra, since my hair was so long. I was disappointed but realized this was standard for most hair salons. After they dyed my hair, they guided me to another chair where I would get my hair cut. The dresser that was doing my hair, aggressively asked me to pay for the service even though it wasn’t finished because she had to leave. Shortly after, she was still doing my hair. She didn’t leave. It made me feel sketchy and uneasy. I asked one of the women if it was okay to charge my phone, while holding a phone charger in my hand. The lady aggressively immediately shut me down, saying she didn’t have one. I explained that I did. She let me plug it in and grew irritated as the cable was slightly in her way. I looked over at the register a foot away from me, and saw two iPhones like mine. I even saw an iPhone charger there too. I saw a client leave and get a customer appreciation card with a discount for her next service. I didn’t get one. During the final 5 minutes of their servicing, they finally made some small talk with me. I tipped the younger dresser, and explained to the older one who I believe is the owner? that I normally don’t go into hair salons because it’s usually a deflating experience for me. She didn’t hear the sadness in my tone of voice, and asked me to leave them a good review. I explained that I wouldn’t, that I was happy with how my hair had turned out, but the overall experience wasn’t exciting and that they made me feel like a burden when getting your hair SHOULD be exciting! “Well at least your hair turned out nice, right?” She replied. I also explained to her that I work in customer service. They did a great job, but again, they have ruined the overall experience for me again. I will do more research in the future and will find a salon that cares about seeing me again.... and cares about generating excitement in getting my hair done! **** A hairdresser lit her cigarette inside of the salon, and then walked outside with it. I smelled it from across the room..... Gross and very concerning!
Went in thinking I wanted to get jet black done. Got a friendly recommendation from my colourist Vanya to try a dark chocolate brown instead which she felt might give me a bit more pop. Love it!!! Sticking with this colour from now on. She did a beautiful job! Love the new cut from Anna too! 5 *'s!
I have had my GREATLENGTHS Hair Extensions installed on: 04/28/2017 & 05/17/2017, and it is already falling apart. The owner of the Salon, Anna M. Martins, applied my extensions, which was painful. And, now on 08/02/2017, I am having the bonds fall apart already. I look like I have dandruff right now. I am trying to in to see Anna as she is the only one who installs the Hair Extensions,and, she is not in, at the prescribed date I have made an appointment. I wonder if she is avoiding me, because of the trauma she has caused my natural hair and the expensive Hair Extensions. I am in despair, as my Wedding is coming up in 3 weeks, and I need photographs taken prior. This Salon also charges last minute fees, upon paying. Also, do not expect anything to be punctual,as they waste their customer's time and not their own.
Had a great experience, had a highlight and color, I loved the recommendations & they understood what I wanted and gave their opinions on what would be complementary to my face shape and complexion! Friendly and took care of my hair! Highly recommend!
