Visited Calgary from Ontario for the second time and decided to eat here again as the first time at Una was amazing. I’ve never experienced such a quick service. Food was delivered immediately AND hot. Our server was so cute and sweet. Loved Una the first time, loved it the second time. Amazing pasta and pizza!
Was taken here by a group who insisted I have to try the food here as it’s their favourite pizza place in the city.nnOk then, to be honest, the word of this particular group didn’t mean anything as they don’t really know food, but the place stood up on its own two feet!nnWe tried some arancini, garlic bread, ricotta, beet salad, and pizza.nnWinning dish on the day for me was the ricotta, with the vegetarian pizza in a close second.nnThe homemade brioche loaf was very well executed. No skimping on all the side sauces either.nnThe arancini plating is a bit cumbersome and could use a bit of help but still very tasty.nnGarlic bread is.. just that.nnThe pizza has a taste of independent owners in the early days, and has grown into a more corporate format. The dough and sauce are solid, but the sense that it used to be made with more love and care in the early days is there. No judgement. Growth and success almost force a little bit of sacrifice.nnAll in all a nice little spot.
I love UNA The food is great and I do love that they have a lot of seasonal options. The atmosphere is busy, the music and the smaller location gives it more of a cozy feel. The service is always good. The location is also great!! Great dinner spot for family or for a date night.
Came here on a date with my wife and we had an amazing time. The food was amazing and the service was top notch. The best pizza joint in Calgary hands down. I would definitely recommend!
I wish I could give UNA pizza more than 5 out of five stars. Me and my fiance went there for our first full date night without the baby since the baby was born. I am an experienced chef and pizza chef so it's rare that I go out specifically for pizza unless I'm expecting high quality. And let me tell you this place did not disappoint. The food was absolutely amazing, very fresh, very tasty and just everything you want it to be. It was a really good mixture of traditional with a modern touch. We had a couple appetizers, and shared a pasta and pizza for the main course. Everything tasted perfect and was beyond my high expectations. And our server whom I wish I could remember her name gave me and my wonderful fiance easily the best dining experience we've had in a very very long time. She was super knowledgeable about the menu and food in general, and overall she was the perfect server. She came at the right time both to fill our drinks and to check up on us to make sure we're having a good time. And at the end of the night she impressed me even more when I ordered a cappuccino and she was actually the one to make it. We had such an amazing experience that we actually asked to speak with a manager to let them know how amazing and wonderful our evening out was. It was our first night out together without our newborn baby and UNA pizza how to make it a magical night.
