Great service and very nice workers! The mochi donuts were very delicious and I enjoyed them very much! Unfortunately I find that they are a bit expensive but they are a must try! Definitely will still come back to grab some more!
Super friendly staff! Donuts were incredible! A specialty item that you can tell was made with love and care. I was kind of wondering what exactly a mochi donut was, and it is hard to explain. It was gently crisp on the outside with a very soft inside. Did not taste like mochi at all really. I’m guessing it was just made with the same type of rice flour? Much to my surprise, the maple bacon was probably my favorite. They were all delicious though. The barista made an absolutely top-notch iced latte coffee too. Very impressed. Extremely cool atmosphere inside too. Would be an awesome afternoon date spot. The only small drawback I would say is that because they are specialty item they are not cheap. You get what you pay for though. We will go back again!
I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the mochi donuts were during my first visit to this place! My wife and I decided to try out the four different donuts in a box, and the black sesame flavor ended up being our favorite. The atmosphere of the place was also great, with a light and airy vibe that made it the perfect spot for hanging out with friends. Overall, I definitely recommend checking out this spot for some amazing mochi donuts and a chill time with your partner or pals.
Due to the failure of the setting temperature from kitchen, all the cream flowed down and it was so difficult to eat. From the time the food was served, the doughnuts all melted and ruined their shape. It seems necessary to set the temperature again when making doughnuts in the kitchen. Customer service also affects the quality of the products and I didn't really feel that customer service from the staff was kind. With ruined doughnuts and unfriendly customer service make it really unsatisfying. There are clear points for this store to be improved.
The setting of the places is excellent. When you enter this place, you feel that you have changed the area and the employees are very friendly. Sadly the taste of the donuts does not always match its price, the only area I liked was the strawberry cheesecake area, on the other hand, the drinks are delicious. We will probably return, but it is not one of my favorite places
The donuts were delicious. We shared the green one, chocolate and mango and they were all great. One left to share later... The inside of the donut shop was beautiful and clean. Worth the trip
My coworker and I checked out this new mochi donut place during our lunch break. When we first went inside, the place was very clean, cute and the staff was welcoming. We ordered all the flavour of their mochi donut that day, a mango passion fruit ade and their matcha latte w/ panna cotta. They make their mochi donut fresh and when we took our first bite we were really impressed! The mochi donut was crispy on the outside and chewy in the inside. The flavours were so good, we especially enjoyed eating the pork floss furikake and the white rabbit mochi donut! The price was affordable and we would definitely come back again.
I haven't had a lot of mochi donuts in my life, but of all i have had these were really good. I am in general not going to be a fan of mochi donutsor donuts for that case till someone takes charge and changes the shapes of the mould and makes you taste the mochiness of the donut. Mochi is supposed to have the rice gluttonousness and stickness and chewiness that I would like to feel. May be if i can ever visit the place they first started mochi donuts and then reflect on it. Of the few stores that have mochi donuts in the city I would pick them because they are fresh and less gimmicky and have a good flavour in them as compared. Food in general in winnipeg needs quite a bit to match to other cities but its just great to see that there are people who are making it and working day and night to make it better. So thank you to the team Umaido for doing that. Their aesthetic and pacakging is really good and on fleek and matches what they offer. Their donuts were good their drink options can be better I couldn't get the point of their bottles other than they looked good, If there's a way to drink it they should let people know, because I didn't know i had to shake it vigorously to get the cream mixed in. I saw another review that this store is put in a sketchy neighbourhood...to that reviewer, this business owner is trying to make this neighbourhood better - appreciate that and support them or its ok call your mayor and city to improve and help the neighbourhood, because you are living in a priviledged place, uplift others and not put anyone down while they are doing it. Other than that I would wish them all the best in what they try to do.
Clean, cute aesthetic. Donut offerings were yummy, tried the Dunkaroo, white rabbit, Easter egg, and some other pink sprinkled one I can't remember the name of. I wish there was an option to just get a singular donut instead of 4 or 6, though I can easily eat 2 in one serving since Mochi donuts feel a lot lighter than regular donuts!
This mochi donut place is super cute! I've always loved mochi donuts and I'm glad we have them here in Winnipeg. Their donuts have just the right amount of sweetness and I love how chewy they are. My preschooler enjoyed them too. Thank you
