Umami caught the attention of a friend and myself while driving by. We stopped in for dinner and we’re not disappointed. There was a large menu with a wide variety of options. I got a noodle bowl and my friend got the sushi. The noodle bowl was great and the sushi was some of the best we had ever tasted. The atmosphere of the restaurant felt very cool. It was definitely memorable. There were many windows facing the streets to allow in the light from outside. It’s worth a stop by if you are looking for authentic Japanese food.
The food was delicious. The sushi rolls were big and the portion sizes were good. There was 3 of us and we couldn't finish 2 rolls and 2 bowls of Ramen! It was great.
Always celebrate here. I spent so much more money in this restaurant because the food is way better than others. Ramens don’t taste good, but sushi, and all the appetizer and tempura are really going to satisfy your cravings. Services aren’t good here. Waiters and waitresses will clean your table as soon as you finish your food unless you spend more than 100 bucks.
This place was so good that we came back the second time within a week. I love their nabeyaki udon the most. I haven’t been able to find a good udon place until Umai. The atmosphere is casual and the service is phenomenal. We always get seated quickly and the sushi are very fresh as well. Highly recommend Umai to everyone and we will definitely be back again soon.
Fantastic place and really good food! Was there specifically for sushi but got to try japanese curry rice as well. Large selection of choices including appetizers, entrees and drinks. Quick service with friendly servers. Def def recommend! Our favorite sushi: umai crunch, chicago.
Pretty chill atmosphere. Food looks good, tastes good and you feel good after! We were so impressed that we decided to dine here four times in the same week!Food: 5/5
We had lunch here today and it was excellent! For sushi, I had 1/2 surf and turf, 1/2 a Chicago and a Philadelphia roll. The fish was super fresh. The surf and turf was an incredible mix of flavors. I wasn’t sure about apple in my sushi. But I was wrong - it was delicious! My daughters each got some chicken teriyaki- the sauce was so flavorful and it was a really big portion and came with soup and salad too! Service was excellent.
Drinks were unique, not really my taste, but interesting none the less. The beef wrapped asparagus was pretty good. The rolls were good. Inventive take on a Salmon skin salad, not what I was expecting, but very good. The dessert took the show with the Green Tea Creme Brulee taking the top spot.
The sushi was great and very well presented. Everything was also fairly priced. Between four people, we spent under $150. They do not take reservations, so be prepared to wait during peak hours.
Amazing food! Very good and fresh sushi, authentic and homey. Great value, very clean, and awesome service.Recommended dishesSushi
