The brand new indian fusion food joint in south Edmonton. The bowls we tried were well balanced in terms of fibre, proteins and spice level was perfect. The sizes of bowls were decent with a lot of protein. The best thing I loved about this place is the people working here, they are super polite took time to explain what they make, how they make it and all the options they have. Was not disappointed, will definitely visit again.
After seeing a bunch of YEG foodies post about this place, I was HYPE to stop by. I also happen to be a lover of Indian food because it’s so rich in flavour, hardy and actually pretty similar to my naive cuisine. I must say, I really LOVE the concept of a sort-of Indian wrap/bowl bar, and the idea of having a quicker option for Indian food. The owners did an amazing job at bringing that concept to life, as the aesthetic, customer service, and overall experience was really pleasant. I ordered one of their wraps stuffed Butter Chicken, Saffron Rice, an assortment of fresh veggies and their Coconut Lime dressing! But unfortunately, the food was not giving! Across all aspects of the wrap, it just seemed to be really lacking that richness of flavour you’d expect from Indian food. It kind of seems like they tried to maybe dull the menu items down to cater to a wider clientele. My expectations for Indian food may be high though as I’ve eaten at my fair share of amazing Indian restaurants Honestly, because I really believe in the experience I think they are trying to achieve AND they have an exceptionally promising menu, I will totally paying Twisted Indian another visit and I actually think you should too!
It was an absolutely amazing experience. We tried the below items : Butter Chicken Bowl French fries Crispy Chicken Burger Mango Lassi Aloo Tikki Burger West meets East Gulab Jamun Cheesecake Everything was Extremely delicious. Specially loved the Aloo tikki burger, butter chicken bowl and Mango Lassi. Also the Gulab Jamun Cheesecake was a delight. It is a cozy restaurant in Edmonton that serves Indian food with a twist and making it even more irresistible. They offer so many customisation options and all the ingredients are fresh and made in house. Also the portion size is really good and items are very reasonably priced.
After about a year of them being open, I finally made my way over to check out @twistedindian_edmonton - a casual Indian restaurant located in the newly built shopping plaza along Calgary trail. We tried a couple of their build your own bowls with chicken tikka and house made chutneys, mango lassi, gulab jamun, and the crispy chicken sandwich with masala fries. I really hope they open up another location somewhere more central as the food was delicious and very well priced so I’d like to be able to visit more often!
Loved the food! Very fresh and natural. Bhinjan provided excellent service! I really like the variety of options and availability of toppings. Lots of sauces to pick from. I really like the cilantro and jalapeno sauce! The habanero was great too! I loved the curried potatoes, and kidney beans. I would say that Mucho burrito is most comparable. However, I'd say this is much better. The spices are awesome! The bowls are similar to Freshi, but phenomenally better. The samosa were great too; not overly spicy for those that don't like heat! Lots of vegan options for sure. But the butter chicken was excellent, and I'm not much for it typically. I look to coming back again. I was full but not bloated or parched! I felt refreshed honestly. Watch out for community league discounts coming. Vegetarian options: Top notch!
Tried Twisted Indian Wrap for the first time with my husband. Variety of Indian food in a westernized way. My Personal fav will be samosa burger. The spice level was perfect and you can choose your spice level. My husband loved east meets west Cheesecake. Every unusual combination. Good Food good ambience. Staff are really friendly. Will definitely be back.
Tried this place for dinner. The food was fresh and the flavors and ingredients were well balanced. Will definitely go back to try the other wraps there.Food: 5/5
We tried this place random and loved the food here. We took Indian burger and aloo tikki burger; being able to choose the ingredients was even better.
Well this was a lovely surprise. We took a dare today and decided to try a new India restaurant . We love Indian food and are ridiculously particular about where and what we order as we have been disappointed so many times. Well this place did NOT disappoint. The salad with tikka chicken spicy but worth ever bite, and my partners potato patty burger was flavourful and filling. We will definitely order from this place again. Enjoy, we did Vegetarian options: Potato patty burger, vegan mayo options Kid-friendliness: There weee great kids options in the menu
Disappointing. Maybe it was because I came off peak hours, but the food did not taste fresh at all. Ordered the butter chicken rice bowl and the chicken was overcooked and the sauce had a weird flavor could only taste tomatoes, not the cream or any other ingredients. Rice was also dry and clumpy. At least the salad was fresh. Only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because the staff member was nice and did a good job explaining the menu.
