Turtle Jack's Muskoka Grill

We were celebrating a Birthday Dinner for a friend on March 24. The dining experience became annoying and negative very quickly. After my husband and I were seated and we had ordered our drinks (wine for myself and beer for my husband), we noticed the presence of numerous fruit flies around our drinks. After we brought the situation to our servers attention, she offered to cover our drinks with paper napkins that did little to help with the situation. A number of flies were hovering and eventually sitting on the rim of both our glasses, to help with the situation our server offered to bring us new drinks. Unfortunately, the fruit flies situation did not end with just the drinks, once our dinner arrived it was much the same. Fruit flies were ALL over our food and continuously hovered around the plates. As you can imagine, it was very difficult to enjoy our drinks and our dinner with constantly worrying about one of them dropping into the drinks or the food. This made our experience very uncomfortable and we would not recommend this particular location to anyone. After spending $100 for two people, this is not the kind of atmosphere I would expect. The only reason I gave this review 2 stars is because the food was of good quality and our server tried her best to make the situation better for us. Otherwise, unless you want fruit flies in your food or drink, avoid this location!

The first couple times I went here it was during the weekdays so it wasn't too bad. The food is amazing and so is the sangria! I usually sit at the bar but I have sat in the dining room, the place is clean and service is good! If you go on a weekend it's busy!

I am exceptionally biased about Turtle Jack's. I don't see the need to leave my house to have food that I can prepare myself and pay someone for it. People at the table admitted the wings were pretty much like the packet we can buy at M&M, but the worst thing was the planning of the restaurant. My entire family went for my mother's birthday. The large group of us were situated between two rows of banquet. The wide tables made it impossible for the servers to walk past us without touching our backs while the other diners were an unable to easily leave their table and move about to the washroom or the bar. Basically, everybody felt uncomfortable so it was on easy to understand why tempers were flaring. Although understandable, our server's comments were not acceptable-it was something she should have said to the back of house or her co-workers when they were not on the floor. So for chicken wings that I could have cooked at home save tim, money and be comfortable, I did not need that extra little bite of attitude from my server. It may be a great place to watch a sporting event with your friends and munch on wings but definitely don't go there for dinner!

The service and food are amazing! Every server we have had here has been so fun and quick! The food always comes out hot and fresh! If you ever go here make sure you save room for the butter tarts it is one of the best desert's I have had from a restaurant

One for the better restaurant in town..I loved their sweet potatoe fries and my partner here was blown away with their pineapple mango salmon..would definitely recommend to my peeps here..thanks!
