Turquaz Alaturka

Turquaz Alaturka is really good, the menu is unique and has a very limited selection depending on the day, with a few staple dishes that remain constant. I personally really like this it ensures the food they are serving is fresh and nothing goes to waste. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice, the staff are always friendly and when it's not busy they usually talk to the patrons which is nice, it seems like a family style restaurant. I also went with somebody that doesn't have a very liberal pallet and the staff were more then accommodating explaining the dishes and what was in it, they also made suggestions for first timers to Turkish cuisine. I would very much recommend this restaurant to anybody.

The food here is unbelievable! Tastes like homemade Turkish food which is so hard to find in restaurants. We have consistently had phenomenal service and assistance from catering to dine-ins and I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone I talk to.

This is the best Turkish restaurant I have been to in Edmonton. This is the third Turkish place I have visited and it comfortably beats the previous two, one of which is Tarquaz Kebab House. Their portions are big enough for two people to share. The price is very reasonable. The taste of food is good. We tried a dessert named Kunefe after the main dish which was surprisingly way beyond our expectation.The crews and the owner are very cordial and helpful. It was all in all a very good experience for me and my wife. Great value for money. I recommend this place quite confidently. I wasn't disappointed and so shouldn't you.

If you are looking for homemade like Turkish comfort food, this is the place for you. Almost all foods on offering are prepared in advance due the time it takes to cook. My favourite so far is the beef stew. There is also ruled stuffed chicken, eggplant with minced beef, lamb shank. All meals, I think, comes with rice, bread, and small salad.

I rarely post reviews for restaurants but Turquaz is one of those hidden gems that must be made known. This is hands down the best Turkish restaurant in Edmonton. The food was superb. We ordered the lamb shank and it was melt off the bones delicious! Well seasoned, moist, and hearty. We also ordered the Kunefe and Baklava desserts and it was out of this world. Just the perfect sweetness with the most amazing crunch. In addition to the fantastic food, the staff here is wonderful. We were treated like family. This has been one of the best dinner experiences I have had in a while. I will definitely be coming back!

This restaurant is amazing if you are bored with”kabab” in every Mediterranean restaurant and you like to try some home made Turkish food. The tase of food, service, portions and prices are great. The staff are so friendly and the restaurant especially the kitchen, is clean. **don’t forget to try the lentil soup**

It was a fantastic experiance! !!! The smiley faces and the hospitality hunts you down before the extremely delicious Turkish food, the only problem I have here is not being able to decide which stew I want, I simply want to eat them all at one visit. For now filled eggplant is my favourite along with saj kavurma, I usually seal it off with kunefe and turkish tea. Tea is just a generous offer from the chef, you can have as many as you want Thank you Turquaz...

My husband insisted that we go to this local Turkish restaurant and try the Lamb Shank, and I'm happy I did. The food was amazing. The service, was friendly and attentive. Looking forward to the visit.
