Amazing hot dogs!! Absolutely delicious and unique flavours! The atmosphere is amazing and the staff are great! Quick and timely service and very helpful with questions! Definitely will be coming back for my hot dog cravings! Highly recommended, one of the best hot dogs in town :

Truly disappointing. Tubby’s is a hotdog place, this is not. There should not be a minute of the day that you’re open that you don’t have hotdogs available. You’ve lost your way, forgotten what got you here, and the zero people that are in here right now shows that you’ve also lost your following. There’s no hotdogs, don’t bother coming here. “Fresh meats” sign at the door, but where’s the meat? The DJ sucks, he played what sounded like the end of the broadcast on cable television for about 5 minutes before returning to the DJ booth to fix the problem. Seriously, this place sucks.

...It's just a bar. Some of the best staff in town.along with patrons who are the who's who of cool Calgarians. Far and away probably the best music and sound system for a place this size. Simple no fuss drink list at fair prices. Hotdogs are delish but take a back seat to the vibe and laid back effortless cool that is Tubby's. Kids are welcome here early on in the evening I think till 7 or 8 I'd advise that they are polite, interesting and don't throw tantrums. After all It's a bar...not a McDonald's with a play place. Vegetarian options: They got them. They got veggie dogs. Dietary restrictions: Within reason don't be a weirdo about it. Parking: Behind the building access from the alley Kid-friendliness: Make sure your kids are cool and not brats and that you are a decent parent and don't let your child run around like a 6-month-old Labrador. Wheelchair accessibility: Come from the parking lot in the alley and you won't have an issue. The place is all one level with big accessible bathrooms.

Tubby’s is perfect. Do people leaving one star reviews not understand that this is no longer Tubby Dog? Tubby Dog closed. The concept changed. The location changed. The food is still phenomenal. The beer is great. It’s a nice atmosphere, it’s cozy and inviting. The staff are excellent. The prices are extremely reasonable. It’s a perfect place to have a drink and grab a snack. It’s always sad to see restaurants or menu items disappear or change but this is an amazing next step for a place that I’ve loved since I was a kid. If people can’t get on board with the new concept, then they should simply be grateful for the years of the old Tubby Dog that they got to experience rather than tank the rating of the new venture. Also, it’s not folded bread, has no one ever seen a lobster roll before?!

TubbyDog went and grew up on us and I'm here for it! Tubbys is exactly what it says it is, just a bar! But with John's signature flare. It definitely fits right in with the Calgary bar vibe. Beautiful bar top with tons of spirits and cocktails to try, beer on tap is also tubbys own specially brewed lager! Guiness as an alternative. Great to stop in for some drinks and good times with friends. Really happy to see some fan favorites still on the hotdog menu, sumo and A-bomb to be specific. Smaller portion by a small amount, but it's a bar what do you expect! Definitely worth going and looking at with fresh eyes, it's not our same old TubbyDog but it's a darn good TubbyBar

It's great to see Tubby up and running again. The family and I stopped by here today for a round of A-Bombs. We hadn't had a dog since before the original location was closed down, maybe 4-5 years, as we moved from Calgary to Vancouver Island. The A-Bomb size was a bit smaller than I remember but the old fashioned was the best I've had. Although I miss the old decor, this new location is very swanky and is in a great location. It very much has the soul of Tubby Dog.
