Amazing everything. This is one of the most recognized restaurants in Calgary if not all of Canada. A large space with a very hip vibe. There are different themes in varying spaces of this establishment. The food is out of this world. And the service was incredible. It's an all around A+. You need to stop by here but please make a reservation...it's always hard to get a table here for good reason.
Great food and decor. Everything we had was delicious, and the service was good as well. Definitely do not pass on their garlic bread with cheese curd, it is a must. Other highlights were the trout and octopus salad. Everything was cooked perfectly, and all the flavours were on point.
Very nice experience especially for the price. Service was good, food was good. The duck was really well prepared and they served fries with mayo which is the first time that happened to me in calgary which I love! Who doesn't wanna eat fries with mayo???!! In the Netherlands we don't even dare thinking of fries without mayo.... so +100 points. We had an extensive dinner with cocktails and a bottle of wine. We enjoyed ourselves! Definitely nice to go.
Everything we tried here was one of those dishes you would keep returning for. The cocktails were incredible also. Proper crowd and a good vibe, service was excellent and our server was extremely Friendly , knowledgeable and helpful. He was able to give us a solid list of happenings in Calgary for the week and named other places to check out also. Overall 12/10 experience and will definitely be back next time I’m in Calgary.
Went for few drinks and a quick bite. Was busy but had enough seating area. Pretty cool ambiance. Excellent service and recommendations. Bit on pricier side. Food tasted OKAY but we only got appetizers and one main dish so not quite sure about other dishes. Portion size little less than expected so would suggest ordering more. Went on a Friday night around 9pm and reservation was not required. Might go again for cocktails though. Vegetarian options: Has few good vegetarian options.
Managed to finally get a reservation for Bridgette bar and see what the fuss is all about. It short, this restaurant is ok but you don’t miss much if you don’t get to try it. The welcome was very weak and the girls working at the front seemed not to care much. We requested our table to be changed and the girls simply said no, but the floor manager saved the night by changing our table. The food is good, but it’s not going to blow your mind. The pasta was a bit small and a touch undercooked and it gets a 4/10. The halibut was around 4oz I would say, but it was fresh and flaky and it gets a 7/10. The octopus salad barely had any octopus and it gets a 2/10 the chef could be stingy on octopus but who knows. The garlic bread and eggplant fries were good while they were warm, but they brought them way too early almost 45 min before the main dishes arrive. The drinks were good except one of the cocktails was a bit too sweet. They have an excellent selection of beer, but we were charged different prices for the beer, but the difference wasn’t much to bring it up. Overall it’s a good place to go and try some dishes, but don’t have super high expectations just because they are always full.
This place has, hands-down, the best service in the fine dining scene! we ordered a drink which was unavailable and the server decided to give us an alternative drink for the inconvenience, on the house. Exceptional and well trained! Food: 5/5 the italian sausage pasta was amazing, the flavor and presentation are there. The fennel salami pizza was also good, though, our favourite was the pasta that night. The Brussels sprouts were also good as an appetizer
Dinner last night was so good! The Crispy hot cheese stuffed garlic bread was a big hit. The bright fresh tomato salad was incredible. The ricotta dumplings were soft pillowy balls of deliciousness. The halibut was flavorful and fresh. I could have eaten the whole banana pie to myself...but unfortunately I had to share. This is a great restaurant for a date or a fun occasion, or just because. There is something for everyone.
Food is stunning. Worth it if you can withstand the terrible seating. Service was exceptional too. The wood fire grilled steak was on par with any high end steakhouse, the Pate is done very nicely, and the tomato with basil oil and sourdough was quite delicious. The cocktails are also solid. Removed two stars because the table and seating arrangement is an ergonomic disaster. I’m 6ft tall, but when seated, the table was chest height. It’s like they paired standard height seating with counter height tables. The booth benches are comfy but low, and the metal chairs are incredibly uncomfortable for people with back issues. As much as I loved the food, I won’t be coming back because it’s just not a comfortable seating experience.
Bridgette Bar is in top 3 places I have eaten at in Calgary so far. Servers were nice in a comfortable environment with mood lighting to enjoy some fantastic food. The cocktails were great also. Standout dishes were the garlic bread, rigatoni, duck, and banana pie. Looking forward to my next visit!
