Trullo Trattoria

Trullo delivers an amazing experience, that is truly hard to forget. I literally dream about their dishes while sleeping at night, and can’t get it out of my head until I’ve satisfied the craving. Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, wide wine list, and amazing premium cocktails. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming, I recommend to absolutely everyone! The Salami Burrata delivers a clash of sensations with a fluffy, buttery consistency unlike any other restaurant I’ve ever been to - highly recommended. The Beef carpaccio is delicious - it’s very well balanced in flavours, presentation is prime, and a must have. The flatbreads, all of the flatbreads please. So so good. The Clam linguine - expect to appreciate the house made pasta, and perfectly cooked, buttery clams - light and fresh, something that makes me come back time and time again. My mouth is watering just from writing this review lol! The only thing I think they could improve on is the music. It’s not too loud or terrible by any means, but something more modern and upbeat to match the atmosphere, decor and fantastic menu, I think they would really benefit from. I know I would stay even longer than I usually do to enjoy more cocktails after my meal, if they tuned it up a bit. Overall, fantastic job, keep up the good work! I would rate it 10/5 if I could.

Amazing food!! This is our favourite Italian spot in the SW of Calgary - we’re regulars. Trullo has a beautiful design inside, it feels intimate and the food is excellent. Nice finding locally owned restaurant that’s aren’t part of a huge chain… you can see the difference and the service is always good. Typically it’s better on weekends vs mid week nights. They also rotate the menu which is awesome!! Note to owner: I loved the tiramisu when it was on the menu, so sad when I discovered a few months ago it had been removed. Very very tasty. Portions are medium. Soon rack up a bill. $200+ for 4 people, no liquor. But it was worth it. Just a little complaint, the buratta was almost mozzarella. Good but chewy.

What an incredible new restaurant. The atmosphere is warm, inviting and so beautiful. The food is equally fantastic. Shared a bunch of appetizers, pastas, and pizettes, all of which were delicious. The carpaccio sooo good, you need to try it. I started taking photos but then got too distracted eating the yummy food. This restaurant is a must!

Fantastic restaurant! Great atmosphere, friendly knowledgeable staff, and delicious food!!!! Chef Barton is a master of his craft and it shows. I brought my wife here for a date night and were very happy with our experience. If you want a fantastic Italian food experience then look no further.

I must say I probably waited too long to try this trendy Italian restaurant. It was definitely very good The Osso Bucco ...outstanding. The Chicken ...outstanding, not your regular, but more flavorful and moist. Calamari done slightly different with ingenious taste and texture. Also try the Lemon Olive Oil cake. Yum! Thank you Jason and Licianno. A very appreciated evening.

Didn’t meet expectations! Decor and ambiance was a 5/5. Food and service was a 3/5. We had the margherita pizza which was small and underwhelming. We also had the salumi burrata which wasn’t that great either. The Calamari with pesto aioli was just not what we were hoping for, would be better with a marinara.

Very enjoyable midweek dinner. Excellent food. Excellent service. Able to cope with food allergies without distress. Didn’t make me wash dishes when my first two credit cards were declined.

Everything was delicious! The burrata was excellent as a aperitif with an aperol spritz.The pizza was great.The tiramisu was amazing. Everyone was really nice.
