I stopped in at Trove to pick up some items my wife had bought via Instagram. The boutique was super clean and very organized. Kelly and Justina helped me immediately as i was clearly lost. They were quick and helpful getting the items for me and packaged them up nice. I would definitely stop in again to grab items for my wife again. It was super easy and quick. Great store!
I love the idea of this consignment store, and it's always very clean and well organized. However, I feel like I have a different experience with the staff every time I go than the folks reviewing below. I always find the staff completely ignore me, even if I have questions. They seem blatantly rude and completely disinterested in offering any help at all. I want to love this store but I find I get the general vibe that the staff just wants me out of there as soon as I walk in, which always makes me leave without wanting to buy anything and support them.
Trove is an incredible place. I have consigned items there and they sold quickly and for a very fair price. I have always found the people who work there to be professional, friendly, and very helpful. I love going to Trove to find treasures, and always feel welcome when I go in. This is a fantastic gem in Hintonburg, and I highly recommend checking them out!
Great store with friendly staff! I love the look of the store and I enjoy the outfits that the staff put together to inspire me and others. I also enjoy shopping their Instagram stories. When I’ve consigned items at Trove, the staff have done a great job of selecting the items that they know will sell well in their store. I’ve found many great second hand treasures in this store!
I am a multiple return customer. Wonderful service. Great finds and fair prices. I like shopping here. Negative reviews seem out of place or misguided. I don’t know the owners myself. I have nothing to gain by saying this except for celebrating my clothing treasures! Thanks for making me look fashionable, Trove!
Great store, and staff is friendly! I've sold and bought from the shop for a few years now. The only downfall the store has for me as a mid-20's shopper is that I think they definitely cater to trends and styles for older generations Ie. Gen X compared to some of the other consignment stores in Ottawa. This can make it hard to shop & sell there because the staff aren't super in tune with what's popular and in-demand for younger generations. As a seller - it's also been hard to get a slot to bring in new consignment stuff next appointment was Oct 4 - over one month away. Still though, great for buying basics & workout wear for any demographic!
The first time I went in was last summer, just on a whim. I tried on a few great finds and laughed with an employee about how with consignment is there's rarely a second size to try for a better fit. The atmosphere was so great that I knew I'd be back. Now I often go whether for a specific item or just to browse. I always have amazing and friendly service, whether I buy something or not. Thanks Team!
I've always had love for fashion, I wasn't so fortunate growing up with hand me downs beyond my size and being ridiculed for my clothes. This store revived my broken inner child and immersed myself to sustainable fashion while giving me confidence in the process. The owner and staff was super knowledgeable and gave me perspective on pieces that amplified my features and my career thanks for the dress shoes and coat. This was my only go to fashion store, and I also provided pieces that sold over time as well. I was a freelancer trying to pay a phone bill when I came in, today I operate over 3 countries and a growing staff and still wear clothes from Trove. Good pieces last forever, but more importantly the people that remind you that you're capable, thank you.
I have both bought and consigned clothes from Trove several times and love shopping here. I find their intake process clear and functional. They are always willing to explain why clothing did not make the cut, and their store is inviting. When shopping, I love the curated content and the range of items that are stylish but not focused too much on one particular aesthetic.
I have been consigning with Trove for over a year now and have had a positive experience as both a shopper and consigner! I recommend them as a place to find trendy items that are of great quality- they have high standards for their products which I appreciate!
