Great family campground for all ages! We had 4 families in our group with 9 kids total and they all had a blast! The owners are very friendly and you can see the love for his campground and everyone in his eyes! The owner wants everyone to enjoy and have fun and was very helpful. Lots of new additions they are putting in to make it even better! Can't wait to come back!
We just camped for 7 days straight at Trout Run. Place was amazing. Staff was always friendly and going above and beyond to be helpful. For example, I asked if a tree could be trimmed so it wouldn't scratch my camper, 35 minutes late if a tree was cut down and removed! They have a heated pool that is open from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. they have a splash pad for the kids to run through all day long. There is access to a shallow River for swimming, fishing, tubing, Etc. They rent bicycles, and they rent golf carts. They sell firewoods by the bundle or by the tractor bucket full. And the store serves ice cream as well as made to order pizza. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend Trout Run. Also to mention the bath house closest to the river is without a doubt much nicer and cleaner than most people's bathrooms in their homes. It was just absolutely amazing
What a great campground! We camped here, first time, for a weekend with some friends and it was a lot of fun. We opted for a premium site, and now we're spoiled! 60° outside, and we were in the heated pool, warm as could be, just relaxing. When we got out of the pool though, we were chilling! The hike to the Genesee River is very nice. Everyone was very friendly. The camp store is well stocked, and if you really need to, the local grocery store is just a couple of miles down the road. Plenty of activities, including tubing, fishing, and also planned activities for all ages, and very dog friendly! I highly recommend this campground, I don't think you'll be disappointed. We are definitely going back!
Loved this campground. Tons of kids having a great time. Good trail down to river. Fantastic salt water pool. Cute splash pad. Nice big field. Large sites. Dog-friendliness: Dog park with bags & trash bins
Love this campground! Went for the Halloween weekend events and had a blast. They had trick or treating, tractor rides, pumpkin painting, cider and donuts, halloween movies and so much more! The best part was the heated pool! Only con was they added 6 new cabins that are jammed together and have no privacy or space. Pay attention to which family cabin you book to ensure you have space. My view was the basketball court and someone's SUV.
This was our first season with our camper as well as our first stay with it and I’m so glad we chose Trout Run! Everyone at the front desk/store was friendly and helpful! Check-in/check-out was super easy. Our site was quiet with friendly neighbors and close to the horse pasture. We really enjoyed the heated pool even though it wasn’t the best weather out. Our dogs enjoyed the dog park where they could run after being tied up most of the day. Unfortunately there weren’t any golf carts available to rent but that would’ve made it easier to explore the campground- I will remember this next time when booking as you can reserve one when you book your site online. They will also deliver firewood to your campsite which was convenient. There are a few stores in the little town Dollar General, grocery stores but they do have things you may need at the store. We went a few times for ice cream! We had a really great time and are looking forward to coming back again soon!
This place was amazing! Heated saltwater pool open 10 to 10, Obviously the best part! I seen many comments saying the staff seemed confused, it was quite obvious they are younger people doing this as a first job.Wasn't too bad, just need patience. Everyone starts somewhere. They were super friendly and tried to be helpful none the less. They were super great on keeping their grounds maintained and clean as well. Bathrooms and shower houses were very clean! Definitely recommend!
My family came here for the first weekend the campground opened for the first time and stayed in the brand new beautiful renovated lodge. We all loved the 90°saltwater outdoor pool. The mining was a very cool activity for kids into fossils/gemstones/etc. The splashpad and playground were not finished yet but we will definitely be back to enjoy those amenities too! All the lodges are super cute and reasonable. Pets are allowed! Kids had a blast riding their scooters/bikes around! There is a trail out back to go hiking and explore the river and pond. Staff was super friendly and going above expectations to make sure we enjoyed our stay. My family had a wonderful stay!
Never camp here after reserving your individual campsite. We've been here several times in the last few years. Everytime we paid for our site in full at reservation the owner insists on changing you to a site of his choice. Never tell you until you get here. Groups get first choice Kevin gets next choice. Will never ever come back. Been screwed so many times here. We are DONZO.
Three heartbroken kids tonight as we were told to leave Trout Run Camp Resort due to something happening last night that didn't involve us. We love that place, and have spent many weekends and lots of money there, but the owner forcing us to pack up three kids at 10pm, without even speaking to us before hand, was completely uncalled for. I don't even know how to apologize to these babies for something I had nothing to do with. After sharing my story on Facebook, it seems many people have had similar issues with the owner.
