Great year round hiking opportunity. Walton Ranch trail is suitable for children and disabled people in wheelchairs. Trail to Rooster Rock overlooks South Santiam River. Cell phone signal available at Rooster Rock. May through September pit toilets and water are available at the Day Use Area inside Trout Creek Campground. Don't confuse this Rooster Rock with the one along the Columbia River.

Good size campsites. We stayed at #13, nice access to river.

Beautiful and quiet, most sites have river access. Best sites for tent camping are #15, #20, and #13 (in order from better to best)
