A very cool store with loads of stuff. If you’re looking for something rare or in box I’d say check it out. Unfortunately, nothing is priced and the items I inquired about seemed high. The owner says they have been there for a long time so I’d imagine my criticism is meaningless. The owner even seems pretty nice! It’s just hard to buy stuff there!
Wow! I visited this place for the first time today and there is a huge selection of games, DVD films, and audio CDs. Of particular interest to me was the retro PS1 stuff. There was a really good selection of games and Eddie who works behind the counter is super friendly!! He even made me a coffee whilst I played Super Mario World and we chatted about our favourite games etc. He bundled up all of my purchases together and we haggled a bit. He did a great deal on the price for me and even threw in some freebies! This was the best service I have ever had in a retro gaming shop. The selection of games for other consoles was huge! If you’re into your retro games I’d recommend you visit Eddie, if not for the games but for a chat and coffee!
Good selections and good service from the owner. Prices a little bit high.
Don't understand these one star reviews. Guy behind the counter is great, has stuff you can't find anywhere else at really great prices. Where else are you going to find gems like bullet hell games for PS2 downtown on a Saturday?
Greatest selection of used classic movies, bar none. I was so shocked at how many dvds were avaliable that I have been looking for ages. The prices were reasonable, the buy 3 get one free deal was awesome, and the man at the counter was very nice and helpful. I wish I had more time to look through all of the films in the store, but even from what I saw i could say that this was one of my greatest experiences in a practical media store.
Fantastic games selection with some truly hard to find old gems in here that are harder and harder to find these days. People seem to be confused that the store isn't run like a garage sale. Just know that you won't find stuff for cheap here, but you will find some stuff that's incredibly hard to come by. Definitely worth a look, just be warned that they don't haggle.
Asked for the price of a Wii Classic Controller, and when they wanted $80 I was really taken aback. I've found that same controller for sale at other game stores for literally a quarter of that price; everything else in there seems similarly overpriced. The fluorescent lighting they use to illuminate the display cases has also discoloured the labels of games inside; other stores don't put lights so close to the displays for that reason. Wouldn't recommend this place; seems I'm not the only one who's faced unusually high prices, and other game stores, while further out, are worth the extra gas money or transit fare.
Really nice owner. Huge selection of old games for every system. Controllers, cords, and every DVD you could ever want. Some of the games are expensive, you can buy them on Amazon for half the price. But, some are comparably priced, and it's nice to be able to get it the same day. Definitely go in and see all the classics. You may see something you like.
Don't know how this guy stays in buisness hoarding all big stock and holding it hostage at ridiculous prices. I'm waiting for the day he has to whole sale or auction off everything. Because it's true, their is alot of gems. But clearly prices are over priced based on current market value.
Their video games are absurdly over priced. It seems like whoever works there was looking at new in box prices when they were pricing their beat up, last generation console games. When I expressed my genuine surprise at some of the prices, the guy behind the counter was actually very rude, and told me to go to a thrift store. Don't pay Conker's Bad Fur Day prices for B JRPGs with broken cases from the PS3 era. Go literally anywhere else.
