Took a special needs patient to see them and the nurse and the doctor had zero patience for keeping him calm. He was afraid and instead of being understanding, they were clearly agitated and not at all companionate. Told me to take him and not return.
My first time here was a week ago. Dr Wikas was so kind and is going to get some answers for me. He took his time and listened to my issues. His assistant was also very kind and friendly. I’m sorry I can’t remember her name. Feel confident I will get answers.
I’m not sure why this office only has three stars! My mom, brother and myself all had appointments here this morning. Staff was great! Check in was helpful and friendly, the nurse that brought us back was amazingggg and funny! We saw one of the residents there, not the main Doc. But we loved her!! Personality was fantastic, extremely thorough and extremely knowledgeable. Answered every single question with lots of options for us on how to have various things treated. I’ll admit the negative reviews kinda scared me and was nervous for the appointment. But there was no reason to be! Couldn’t have had a better experience. The only downside was the time frame it took for waiting. We were a smidge crunched for time for all of us to get back to our jobs but it was not a huge deal. However they saw all three of us that morning so I can’t really complain!!! Check out seemed a bit distracted but certainly not anything to take a star away from. Don’t be scared away by the reviews! This place has a caring and knowledgeable staff that will take care of you.
I have various rare conditions treated by my specialists at the Cleveland Clinic. They are my care team, but inevitability you're your own advocate. With the help and HONESTY of my care team, I was directed to seek another opinion outside of the clinic, because my newest derm I saw there, which took over my previous one due to retirement per COVID-19, said she HAD NO IDEA what it was.....but she was there for me via email to update while we watch and wait. But at Dr. Fox had the nerve to say my newest condition or dermatological manifestation is psychosomatic. My awaking from scratching was too. But if he took the time to read my medical records he would know I have narcolepsy and autonomic dysfunction. He didn't do any bodily evaluation and dismissed all my knowledge that was well beyond his age of retirement. People like myself, that must deal with dismissimive doctors and uneducated angry nurses, are upset and sometimes must cry and walk out due to being called crazy, enough is enough. I will be back with tangible proof to prove this well behind his professional knowledge in his place. I'd rather continue to pull my hair out than seek help there. At least I felt better doing that before I just left there. Be aware.
Ive been to Tri- county dermatology a few times and had two cancerous moles removed and had to get tissue cut out, etc. then went back to get the stitches cut out. Each time I waited about an hour in the waiting room. As if only the doctors time is of importance. But I felt that Dr. Wikas at least did his job and found moles, etc. TODAY, I tried to give it another go at this office. I was scheduled at 10:50 am. They told me to arrive early, but again, every time I arrive 15 minutes early in the past, I would end up waiting over an hour. So I showed up at 10:53 am. The lady at the front window was nice, besides her rude comment about “did they tell you to show up early? You will need to fill out this paperwork super fast or it will put the doctor behind”. And then made a point to tell me the time, when I didn’t ask for it. The paperwork took me a whopping 3 minutes to complete. But that was nothing compared to the FORTY MINUTES I waited in the waiting room. I guess it’s a good thing I didn’t show up 15 mins early and wait over an hour. I saw rude nurses come out and call patients names- one rolled her eyes and shook her head when a patient wasn’t in the waiting room front desk sent her out to her car due to COVID and not having enough seats. Then finally I was called in. Never asked how I was, nothing. I had to see Dr. Fox because Dr. Wikas was unexpectedly out for the day. You could clearly tell he didn’t want to be there. I was asked all of the questions again that I literally just filled out in the paperwork..? So I guess that was pointless too, just like my appointment ended up being. I waited another 10-15 minutes for the doctor and when he came in he basically checked me over 2 times and moved me around and undressed me quicker than it took me to fill out the paperwork. And told me that he didn’t see any moles. I tried talking to him and telling him new ones have appeared, etc. and he just talked to the nurses aide about where certain moles were located and seemed to ignore me. I think he was in the room for 5 minutes before telling me nothing was wrong and not even listening to my concerns on specific moles or removing ones that I STILL want removed- regardless. Then told me to schedule an appt in a year I will NOT be returning. I WILL, however, schedule somewhere else with good reviews and ratings. Then they both left the room and because they didn’t say anything about getting dressed, etc. I just figured that was it and did so myself. I felt like the doctor did not care or take the time to listen to me or seem interested at all. The nurses seemed like they hated their job, and maybe life. And I, ultimately, felt like I was tossed around like a rag doll when being checked for moles. I’m not sure why they give a gown to put on- it would’ve only taken the doctor ONE minute instead of 3 to check over my entire body- since he seemed to be in such a hurry- if he just would’ve had me sit there naked instead of what felt like ripping everything off anyways and being careless. I even had to tell him I had a few on my sides where my sports bra was because he didn’t check there himself. But he did, for some reason, have time to ask me what I did for a living or if I was in school or working. I guess to maybe make it seemed like he cared even a tiny little bit about me?? Overall, I would rate this experience as terrible. I still have questions, concerns and moles that I want removed. Especially to be on the safer side since I’ve had cancerous ones surgically removed in the past. Please, please research better places to go to so you don’t go home upset and feeling confused and bad about your health and patient-worth. I’m sorry for this review. Wish things went differently. OH and one more thing- if you have tattoos be prepared for the doctor to say “you’ll regret that when you’re older”.
I thought the staff from the receptionist to the med tech to the doctors, both Dr Wikas and his intern/fellow were really wonderful. I did not experience any rudeness by anyone. I have had melanoma in situ and a few other atypical lesions removed and I am very satisfied that they take the time to thoroughly evaluate me for new or changing moles. I would expect nothing less. I would recommend them to my family and friends.
My son first went to Tri County Dermatologist about a year ago, he was given different things to help with his sweating & non of it worked. I started working with Kelly to get my son approved for Qbrexa with my insurance company. My insurance company fought tooth & nail to not approve the medicine but Kelly kept fighting, we final got it approved but only for 30 days. In the meantime Kelly was able to get Ryan alot of samples but than Covid hit & that stopped. So, Kelly suggested Biotox! Again my insurance company fought that, but in the end we won & my son had the injections & no more sweating! This has totally changed his life in only a few days. He no longer wears 2 shirts to work, no more black shirts either! He is amazed how quickly it worked. We cannot thank Kelly & Dr Craig for all there help! This has been life changing for Ryan! Thank you! Thank you
Dr Fox was absolutely outstanding. He helped my son feel more comfortable about everything going on and was one of the best doctors we have dealt with. However, the billing department is a joke. I have left 4 messages since November 2016 about the bill they keep sending me when our service was supposed to be covered 100%. I have also sent an email to the billing person: Melissa, and have never received a response from her. I called the Cuyahoga Falls office and they said they did not have my son in the system so I called the North Canton one and they said the same thing. I left a message with the office manager, Penny, and she never called me back either. The first person to initiate anything was finally in February with Michelle. Still waiting on Melissa to call me though. My credit is being dinged for a bill that was covered 100%. I even sent a copy of my 1095 showing the insurance coverage the month in question. The other dr office that did surgery on the same day was able to bill the insurance without problem. I am so frustrated with Tri County right now and it really kills my rating on the office in general since Dr Fox was outstanding.
The office cancelled an appointment so it was rescheduled for 2 months later, they called today day of rescheduled procedure to cancel again, because the product needed for procedure didn't come in. Well it was the complete wrong procedure they had in their system, and when told that it was for a completely different procedure, they had no records of what was supposed to be done today. Receptionist was very rude on the phone and said they had patients with real problems to deal with.
Terrible experience. Had an evening appointment with the PA there and sat in the room for 2 hours waiting. Went to the hallway to try to find someone multiple times but no one was around. Last time I went to the hallway I see everyone in coats and carrying their purses to leave for the day. Completely forgot about me as their last patient. Also, they billed me for this visit and when I disputed it I got a certified letter from the practice saying I was "dismissed as a patient" and needed to find care elsewhere. This is not a reflection on me but rather a reflection on them. Shameful.
