Incompetence is an understatement, I'm reluctant to call this person a doctor. No bedside manners at all he seemed frustrated and uninterested in helping. Actually tried to tell me there was no connection between a person's health and their diet. If you're having real issues do not go to this person. Find an actual doctor.

I have been to Portage Gastrointestinal more than a few times with the same symptoms. They suggested I may have a blockage, then gave me a medication to take that clearly stated on the bottle that said in bold do not take if you have or suspected bowel blockage. I never get answers just shoved out the door with a it’s sounds like it could be or take these pills if they don’t work well guess on something else.

Had Nurse Practitioner that misdiagnosed me. Surprise. Surprise. Always ask for a physician. Went to a wonderful Primary Care Physician that ran tests and accurately diagnosed and treated me.

I started seeing these gi drs in December of 2019 they seem okay but even then unorganized but I said what can I do I live in Ravenna Ohio... so got my colonoscopy. They said I had colitis ..my worst fear ,,so starting on December 13 ...they been trying to get me medication for my colitis ..had to call them at least 15 Times .they still have not gotten together with my insurance to get me the correct medication it's been 3months now no calls back ever ..always have to call them so if u can ..I would suggest finding a different set of gI Drs. If you can.. if I could give them 0 stars I would

I had a procedure scheduled with the office and found out that the Dr. scheduled to do my surgery was not on my insurance. Dr Umbel & his staff went above and beyond what they needed to do to keep my scheduled surgery date. He was very professional and accomadating to my needs. My procedure went well and I was notified within 2 days of the results. I highly recommend this office.

Need to have business hrs posted when Googled. Other then that the drs are nice
