**Review: A Charming Visit to a Historic Community**nnWe recently visited a family friend in a beautiful community and had an amazing time exploring the local area. One of the highlights was watching the boat locks in action. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, providing insightful information about the historic significance of the locks.nnThe trails around the area were picturesque, especially in the morning light, which made for a refreshing and scenic walk. The experience was further enhanced by a surprising sight: we even spotted a snake in the water! Overall, it was a delightful visit, and we highly recommend it to anyone interested in history and nature.
We camped at lock 35 on Trent Severn. It was a great experience with family. Kids love the camping at OTENTIKS in lock 35. Parks Canada has done a fantastic job managing and maintaining. The staffs were so helpful and knowledgeable. We love to see and meet lot of people who were mooring around and lot of couples coming all the way from US. We also enjoyed renting a Avalon 60hp from Rosedale Marina.
Beautiful quite perfect for dog walks or picnic.
Nice place for walking, beautiful lake view trail.
We went camping to this place last year, it was so beautiful. Watching the boat locks was a great experience. The trails around these areas were so beautiful especially to see the sunshine in the morning.
