Went there for Easter Egg Hunt w/grand kids. Well planned/executed nicely. Good family fun... excellent community held... been going for 3 years now. Did not go thru the facilities this time yet have in the past. Great interpretative center and walking path. Well maintained spot to do a walk-about or picnic or walk the dog. Happy they keep it going!

This is an original camp of Lewis and Clarke. They have a regular story telling time for adults and members of the museum. We had not been for some time and was blown away by all the amazing changes and additions to the museum. If possible, make an appointment to go across the street and visit the Holt Cowboy museum. What a collection of memorabilia. Then you will have worked up a big hunger, so if it is early go to Hayloft (on the corner) for fried chicken, real mashed potatoes and gravy or... if it is close to dinner, go to the Lolo Steak House, for the best steak dinner in Montana. You will remember this visit for a looooong time.

The State of Idaho and local volunteers have done a very good in making this significant Lewis & Clark Trail site accessible. The visitor's center is filled with informative exhibits. The trail through the campsite area has very good Interpretative signage to help the visitor understand the area as it was used by the Corps of Discovery.

Loved Travelers' Rest! The visitor center was very interesting and has lots of artifacts and history on it. You can also walk all around the grounds for more history. I definitely recommend this place!
