Trappers Choice Restaurant

We enjoyed this little restaurant as a pit stop while driving from our camping destination. The service was extremely slow the day we went, but to be fair they gave us warning that a large number of groups just came in at the same time, so expect slow food service. They gave us the option to leave, but we decided to stay.nWhen we finally got our food, we thought it was delicious. It was a good amount of flavour mixed with cozy comfort food. The atmosphere and people were very welcoming and friendly. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and would likely come back here.

Good food & friendly service!nHad lunch on a Friday afternoon and we were seated relatively quickly. Our server was friendly and attentive.nThe fried shrimp and pickerel bite appetizers were very good. Brought to the table nice and hot.nFish haddock and chips were good. Fries were not the best but overall it was a good entree.nWe would most definitely return!

Went here for the first time and the food was amazing! Our server Jennene was so kind and thoughtful and the food was hot, fresh and made in a timely manner. Definitely stop here if you want a great meal at a decent price.

Great place to drop by and eat if you are on your way to north Ontario! Food is not the cheapest, but the portion sizes are very good. The service is also great! We found that the burgers are the best value. Pull up!

Attended this resteraunt recently with the fam. I like the rustic environment, we were greeted with about 5 really naggy flies that kept us company the entire meal. We were all hungry, so we ordered quite a spread. The dishes were plated nicely. The wings were decent size and well cooked, the sauce flavor was a bit to be desired. It's a rare occasion but some wings got left behind. The Ceasars salad was fresh and crisp, but the dressing tasted a bit off, and didnt have the classic flavor I'm used to. Plus no bacon bits? The pasta was very bland. The pizza was pretty good but bland. The chicken fingers had a decent portion size with a half cob of corn, which was an interesting addition. However kindof on the bland side. Souvlaki and burger was decent and but yet again, on the bland side. Soup of the day was beef vegetables and that was very good. It had great flavor with a hearty amount of fresh ingredients, well seasoned with a subtle but complex broth base. Price point vs food potion had good value. However, I would say the quality and taste of the dishes did not balance out with the price.
