Toronto Island Park is a good place to visit for a day trip. To get to the island, you must buy a ferry ticket from the city at the Port (approximately $8 for an adult) or you may purchase a ticket for a private water taxi (located just east of the city of Toronto Port). The ferry ride has a predetermined schedule and stops at a few key points at the island. There's lots of gardens, greenery for a nice walk. Walking to the southern point of the island will give you access to the beach and a beautiful view of the lake. Toronto Island is pretty big so be sure to bring some money to buy food/drink or feel free to bring your own. There are lots of places to enjoy your lunch. There is a playground, Centreville amusement park (seasonal), petting zoo as a main attraction.

$7 for the ferry round trip. Neat walking paths. Nice parks. Lots of bikes, which makes sense as there are a ton of paths. I would recommend either bringing a bike or renting one on the island vs walking. Can also rent paddle boards and swim at the beach.

Great place to visit if you haven't yet. Fun for the whole day. Island has a cafe, small amusement park. Bike rental include quad bikes. Fun for the whole family! Bike rental is mostly cost efficient. Multiple beaches. 1 clothing optional beach. Also a great garden with fountains. Multiple walking trails. Great access to clean public restrooms. Cannot think of complaints at this time.

Lovely place for a family outing. Beautiful view of Toronto. Good outdoors activities.. biking..walking and running.. has lockers to keep heavy stuff in. Fairly clean washrooms. Needs more drinking water fountains and washrooms. Would be nice to open more restaurants or coffee shops but I know that I can't ask too much !
