Although not quite a showy as the Music Garden ( and please go there too, if you can- its gorgeous all year long) Little Norway is a little gem. Pleasant walkways, a large green field where on any given day, you'll a baseball game, soccer match, fitness classes or dogs romping. People picnicking, children playing. A totem pole (!) grotto, trees, a wading pool, playground and the tribute to the Norwegian airmen who lived the area during the WWII. The Parks people do an admirable job "fluffing" the park throughout the year and every year its a little different- the gardens bloom, the shrubs bushes and trees are healthy and robust. Its also a resting area for migrating birds and the trees are alive with bird song.

The original local neighbourhood park way before the heavy development. Spent my teen years playing here and now my kids get to enjoy it. In the winter when cold enough, it's turned into an ice skating park, little slopes used for tobagganning. Has a baseball diamond and an open field for soccer games. Only downside is lazy dog owners who don't pick up after their pets.

When you passing by near downtown of Toronto and also if you don't have enough time to find any restaurant, you can bring your own lunch and enjoy it with beautiful aside of Ontario lake. There is a shelter and some picnic tables. There are facilities for physical exercise in the park. Parking is .75 cents for half an hour and no washrooms available.

The Gardens that surround the park are quite beautiful. There's a ball diamond and an exercise area that are perfect for game watching and people watching. The Martin Goodman Trail runs across the top of the park and the ferry to the island runs from the bottom of the park. Scenic and perfect for relaxing, game watching and people watching
