This is a good old school stereo store. They are knowledgeable and have a good sound room. Planning ahead helped to they could set up the equipment to audition. It’s not flashy, but functional and they have a long history with the brands they carry. It’s fun to speak with them.
Very welcoming and friendly. Francis listened to my needs and provided great service. Never any pressure tactics or any games, just good, genuine people selling great products. Pricing was quite fair. No gouging. Very happy to have done business here, I'm sure I will again....and again...that's the nature of audiophile addiction I'm afraid. ;-
Wasn't prepared to take my time and to the picture session id do from time to time. But the place seems to be refreshed; clean, and new business store taking place ,- which i ve liked to come in for a quick check-up inspection good selection, pleasant offers and inventory...friendly and patient staffcuz I purposely hanged out without buying - have been offered help which i kindly had refused and still didn't ask me to leave the store letting me to take my time. So id highly recommend for people looking for specific deals and new and fresh "inventory" - at least some changes in town with these dull no people on the streets Virus thjng... Hope this info "d be helpful enough.. To everyone: wish ya'll good health and sanitary & clean store-browsing/shopping
I’ve been making my audiophile equipment purchases here for a few years now, and thought it was about time to give some feedback. In a time when online shopping is prevalent, it’s refreshing to walk into a bricks and mortar audiophile store. First, I must say that the owner, Francis, is a man of character and impeccable integrity. From the very first time I met him, I knew he was sincere and honest. We “hit it off” from the very beginning. He gives great advice, ensuring that customers make the right purchasing decisions. His prices are very fair, and he certainly does not exploit his customers. He uses a “soft sell” approach, which I appreciate. Every time I place an order, Francis follows up with me constantly. The product lines he carries are first-rate. Even if one has a modest budget, Francis will put together a wonderful system. Francis has a sidekick – his name is Wallace. Wallace is a fountain of information. Ask him any technical question, and he’ll give you a very well thought-out answer. I’m in my fifties, and Wallace is considerably younger than me. Sometimes I reminisce about the audio components that I first started out with in the early 1980s – he even knows about vintage equipment! Altogether, I must say that I’m extremely pleased with the products and service I receive at THOA. I have shopped at many other audiophile stores and boutiques, but THOA has become my “go-to” store. I live less than a kilometre from the store, so I’m in there almost too often – I have to restrain myself. I hope to do business with Francis and Wallace for many, many years to come. I highly recommend Toronto Home of Audiophile to anyone who wants great audio equipment, and wants to be treated with respect. A very sincere thank you to both Francis and Wallace, Michael
