Tor's Fish & Chips

Kevin, the owner, shows such great pride and care in making delicious food and making his customers happy. The halibut was incredibly fresh and the batter was very light...it was really delicious. The coleslaw was also very delicious - I would recommend both dishes to anyone visiting the area! The price was fair (12.95 dollars for halibut and chips, and 2.50 for the side of coleslaw). And if you have a chance to talk to Kevin, he will gladly share the stories of how he acquires the fish fresh from the Atlantic and his vision for the restaurant in the future. We will surely come back whenever we are in the neighbourhood.

The greatest fish & chips I've had in a while, and I've had many fish & chips meals (it's usually my first pick whenever I eat at restaurants). My boyfriend and I tried the halibut and the haddock. Both were very delicious and large portions for the price! Their fries are the best tasting fries. There must be some sort of seasoning on them, because they don’t need ANY ketchup or gravy, in my opinion! Definitely recommend this place. We'll be back again soon for sure! It's our new favourite spot for fish & chips!

Our first time here and it was excellent. The halibut & batter and chips were DELICIOUS. The coleslaw was AMAZING. The server was efficient and friendly and the chef came out to talk to us. Great place! We will definitely be back very soon.

Tor's is our new go to fish & chips, usually it was the Bounty for years. We were talked into the halibut which for us was great. Portions were awesome and delicious. the owner was a lot of fun and very gracious. He asked us to try deep-fried mac & cheese. It was tastee but will not be our go to meal. We discovered Tor's on the way back to the N.Bay as bounty was closed. Fortunate for us! will definitely be back.

I seldom stop for lunch, but I had heard great things about this restaurant from friends and thought I would find out what all the fuss was about.So this past Friday I gave it a try. I am so glad I did. My regular weekend stop on the way to the cottage used to be at Weber's. Tor's is now my go to place for all seasons, and especially lunch! This is the best halibut fish & chips I have had the pleasure to eat. It was simply beyond my expectations. But that was not the only great delight. The coleslaw is THE best I have had anywhere in my travels across the planet. There are now TWO great reasons to eat at Tor's. I am sure there will be more. But for those on their way to the cottage on a Friday(or any other day), touring or simply out for a drive it is worth stopping in and sampling this great hidden and undiscovered gem in Orillia! Service is great, the staff friendly, the place clean,and the food wonderful! It in itself, is worth the drive to Orillia!
