I ordered takeout for from Tongs as I heard good reviews about their special fried rice. I ordered a special fried rice, 3 egg rolls, ginger beef, beef chop suey, sweet and sour chicken balls, tongs mixed vegetable. The special fried rice was at least 2 - 3 days old , and the pork in the rice was about 3 - 4 days old. You could taste the age of the dish. The egg rolls are very bland and I personally found the batter too thick. Had 1 bite, almost zero filling or taste and threw the rest away. However, the chicken ball are 5 star. Nice amount of batter, good piece of chicken inside. The rest of the food we ordered was ok, average at best. The establishment is very clean and the staff is super friendly. 5 stars for this. We have ordered take out from you for many many years. We have always had a good experience. Unfortunately we had a very scary incident last week where my husband came close to swallowing a staple type wire in his Special Won Ton. I do have a photo. Kid-friendliness: I am unable to post a photo of the staple but did display it on Facebook in the Group for Restaurants.

Best Hot Pot anywhere! This dish is loaded with fresh vegetables and seafood plus all the meat types. Bring a group of three or four and order a special fried rice and another dish and you will likely still have leftovers to take home. Tongs is awesome.Food: 5/5

Absolutely terrible! The chow mein was completely inedible we didn’t even bother to dish it out, it was completely flavourless limp noodles with a couple pieces of cabbage tossed in. The ginger beef was gross, it had been drenched in a sauce that tasted like it came out of a cheap jar. The lemon chicken was the opposite it was dry and tough with barely any sauce on it at all. Finished the meal hungry and disappointed

It was so good. 5 ate for $70.00 dollars. A guy can't eat cheaper than that. And I took enough home to enjoy Tomorrow. I rate meal and service as a 10. Anyone who enjoys the daily special should come with a full tummy. And a smile.Food: 5/5

Easy to order and has always been on time when I’ve picked up. Service is fast. They have been in Saskatoon for I think 30+ years.

Great tasting food. When you eat in service is very good and quick and food is piping hot. Take out is still very hot and good tasting.Food: 5/5
