Taunte Maria’s Restaurant

Has been ordering takeout from this authentic northern Chinese food restaurant for a few weeks. I have to say the fried pork meat “guobaorou” is probably the best in town. The service is always very friendly. Would definitely go again. Highly recommend for some good Northern Chinese dishes!

The new owners ought to give up making Mennonite food and just market it as a Chinese restaurant because the food we ordered was terrible. I heard the Chinese food was good, but we unfortunately chose the wrong cuisine. Food was bland, low-quality ingredients and the farmers sausage was so overcooked it was a little brick.

Really tasty food and sauces! First time ordering from there and besides a little snafu with skip courier it was really good! The owner or whoever I spoke with on the phone seemed very apologetic! In the end it was still good food and kind service!

We had the breakfast special pictured. It was $7.99 or 8.99 including coffee. The breakfast was pretty standard - the fruit cup is a nice idea.Food: 4/5

Love this place so much. Friendly kind service, delicious food. They always go above and beyond. They gave an extra bowl of soup to our table tonight. Thank you and can’t wait to eat your cooking again soon!

Plenty of food in in my breakfast order and it was delivered quickly after it was ordered. They have an all day breakfast menu and also a good variety in their chinese food menu.Food: 4/5

Quite good breakfast. Only 1 piece of ham though. That was disappointing. I would suggest a different type of bread, the kind I had was very hard and dry even when buttered. I would go back. Parking: Quite a lot of parking

Ordered delivery as this place had good reviews. Food was cold on arrival and tasted old. The meats had no sauce on them and were very dry. The sauces were in separate styrofoam containers which had disintegrated and leaked all over the bags. The deep fried wontons were not traditional deep fried wontons, which are customarily like a chip which you can scoop up sauce and rice with, these ones resembled deep fried tortellini and looked like the wontons from soup, filled with pork. They were hard as a rock and tasted old. The spring rolls were stale, the chicken and vegetables with cashews had a flavorless sauce that was incredibly glue like in texture, like runny snot. The chicken balls were flavorless, I gave one to our dog who wouldn’t even eat it. For spending $68 I am disappointed. Nobody could eat any of it and I only received a 50% refund from skip. I definitely won’t order again.

Terrible! Ordered through Skip, delivery was fast! Fries were cold and soft, burger patty fell apart, obviously full of filler, tasteless! Hot & Sour soup was broth and a few peas, no noodles. First and last time this establishment will get our business.

The food is always very good! The family who runs it is soooooo nice . They are very friendly and kind. I love eating in or getting take out and a nice thing is they have authentic Mennonite food ad well as delicious Chinese food .all so very yummy . We will be back many many more times!!!!! Thanks for the awesome service and delicious food always !
