We arrived at Tommy's Pizza Corner on Friday close to 7 p.m. Although the dining area was close to 50% capacity, there were plenty of people standing in line waiting for their takeout. Maybe it was the single digit temperature outside that forced people to call in their order, but I overheard one of the staff members telling someone on the phone that there would be a two hour wait! We were seated immediately and ordered an 18-cut tray of fried Sicilian pizza. We waited for almost 20 minutes before our meal was served. The pizza was delicious. The dough was light and fluffy, the sauce pretty sweet, and plenty of cheese. The dough was "dough-y," which may not appeal to some, but I found it satisfying. Visiting there for the first time, I'm not sure if that is the norm, or if the demand that evening was such that the pizza was taken out a bit early. Nevertheless, if one is not a fan of that type of consistency, round pizza is also available. Of course, there are a variety of toppings to choose from. The menu also consists of wings, strombolis, hoagies, and more. The atmosphere is very cozy, and the decor, although not extravagant, is quite comfortable in its own right. The walls are lined with historical photos of Tommy's hometown of Kingston. The backrest of the booths have "Tommy's Law," light, quasi-philosophical quotes such as, "There is always one more bug," and "Never play leapfrog with a unicorn." Tommy's Pizza Corner is a favorite among the locals, and should be on any pizza lover's list. In my opinion, it ranks as a member of good standing when it comes northeast Pennsylvania pizza.
This was my first trip to Tommy's in years, but the pizza was just as delicious as I remembered. The flavorful sauce and onions blend well with the generous amount of cheese on each cut. The fried bottom crust was cooked to a perfect golden crisp, but it wasn't rock hard. I won't stay away so long next time. I had a pleasant takeout experience, as staff was friendly and courteous. Great job all the way around by Tommy's Pizza Corner.
Had there Sicilian style pizza, 4 cuts along with a half dozen of mild wings. Everything came out hot and fresh. My server very professional, the atmosphere very welcoming. The mild sauce has a nice flavor with a little bit of zing. Very delicious. The wings are the larger wings, not like some of the others who serve the pony bar wings. Definitely also try their round pie, also very good.
I ordered 8 Sicilian cuts, a cheese steak, and a dozen mild wings. Everything was great! Wings were saucy, didn’t even need to order an extra side of sauce. Cheese steak was HUGE. Pizza was just how I asked no onions with extra sauce! Will definitely be ordering here regularly.
Best pizza in the area by far and everyone who works there is so nice. You could have a packed house and the service is still so friendly and quick. My fiance and I always get wing bites and a small pie and it's always delicious and so affordable. Do yourself a favor and come here!Food: 5/5
I'm not sure I have ever had a negative experience at Tommy's. Food is always delicious. They are very reasonable with their prices even during covid times. I've had the pleasure of introducing their pizza to many friends and it's always a win. My favorite go to spot for anything pizza/wings related. :Food: 5/5
I'm from California but lived in Nanticoke Pa. for a few years as a child. My parents would take us to this place every Friday. The pizza was amazing and the wings were out of this world! I always thoroughly enjoyed myself here, and the staff was always very courteous and welcoming. I have very fond memories of this restaurant. I'm now in my forties and still think of the times we spent here as a family. Thanks for the great food and even better memories.
They do have round pie pizza, but I'm a fan of the fried Sicilian we have in the area. It's what my family had a few times a month when I was a kid and the family who left the area miss it and our locally made kielbasa too. I feel the cheesesteak at Tommy's is among the top cheesesteak in the area. My biggest gripe is a lack of parking, there's only street parking. Most employees are friendly and seem very willing to help which makes the parking ordeal worth tolerating. I like that they deliver now too, unsure of the distance they'll deliver, though.
I swear, these people treat you like you're invading their home or something. I was in the crapper when I heard loud pounding on the door that certainly wasn't another customer waiting. I also heard grumblings like, "Come on, holy s***!" "Come on, man!" from the other side of the door. Sure enough, after I leave and sit back down, I turn from my table to see two guys going up and down what looked like a ladder in the MEN'S RESTROOM to retrieve what appeared to be cooking ingredients/utensils. Yikes! Maybe don't keep your stuff in the public restroom? Just a thought. Made me extremely uncomfortable. You don't put a time limit on your customers bathroom usage. Especially paying customers.
Great service and the place was clean. Prices were reasonable too. I ordered the spaghetti and it came with garlic bread hoagie roll slices I believe and a small salad. There was enough in the portion for me to take some home and it cost under $10. Parking: We were there around 3pm so street parking was not an issue
