I have been a fairy serious cyclist for almost 40 years and purchasing a bicycle from Tim at Tomhannock was by far the best retail experience I have ever had at a bike shop. I subsequently have returned for repairs and bike accessories. I travel almost 30 miles to the shop and it is absolutely worth the trip.

I was looking for something recreational with a little edge and after a horrible experience at Dick's Sporting Goods (I was trying to cheap out!!!) , I found Tim at Tomhannock Bicycles. I worked in a Bike Shop as a teenager and know a thing or two about the sport and all I can say about this shop is WOW. Tim is one of the nicest people I have met! On my first call to the store I was seeing if he had a model in stock - he did something SHOCKING. He asked me what my name was and immediately personalized the sale. This was so important to me - I instantly knew that I wasn't going to be hosed by a salesman and was dealing with someone who actually cared about the sport. He had already made the sale before I walked in the door because this is type of guy I want to give my money to.... On arrival you walk into this real deal bike shop with tons of models - he has whatever you need, small, medium large, recreational, intermediate, advanced. He took time to explain what I was riding, let me test drive a few models and rode the bike himself before I got on it try it out. Super important. Guys & Gals it does not get any better than this. This is a quaint shop in the middle of nowhere (!!) that has everything you will ever need - A knowledgeable owner with great products . I'm so happy I bought from him and have a new home for biking. Thanks Tomhannock Bicycles!!!

I had a great experience today at Tomhannock Bicycles on route 7 in Pittstown. What a great bike shop. I went not knowing an awful lot about bike shoes and received an education and wasn't pressured to buy anything. About two hours later i walked out knowing the differences between the types of shoes and clips but was taught how to use them safely. First on a trainer and then outside on my bike. This bike shop is great and i would highly suggest taking the trip out to meet Tim and his staff.
