Tomato Bar Pizza Bakery

This was my first visit here, what a great place! I a told this is a small family owned business with 3 locations. The selection of pizzas is AMAZING as well as the other menu items. I ordered a Dough Nut appetizer and a Magic Potion pizza. The appetizer was done just right, soft on the inside with a firm but gentle crust on the outside. Complete with marinara sauce, full of flavor! The pizza, well.......... the pizza had a really good thin crust with good flavor and cooked just right. The sauce was a moderately sweet sauce with a nice flavor, really held its own. Then there is the toppings; super fresh and not processed. When you bite into the pizza it's a flavor explosion in your mouth, like a fine wine- so much body, so much complexity but yet smooth on the pallet. I washed down my amazing food selections with a few craft beers from their vast selection available. I LOVED this place and wish I could bring all my friends back here. I have had my favorite pizza places over the years from Chicago to Negril Jamaica, this is by far the best one yet and sets a high bar for others to follow. I highly recommend this place to all, I have no doubt you will see why for yourself.

Amazing restaurant! Pictured is the 14in Magic potion pizza. It is popular on their menu. It is yummy! I also got a Ceasar salad pictured. Our sever was also so friendly and helpful. Definitely going back in the future.

Wanted to get pizza while in town visiting family, the recommended Tomato Bar and it was excellent. Big selection of craft beers and specialty pizzas. They have a lot of vegan options and we’ll as gluten free crust. There is a rotating “pizza of the week” that I ended up getting as well as calzones, sandwiches and salads. They also have a build-your-own to create a personal pizza. The 10” size is perfect for one, or splitting with an appetizer or salad. I hope this continues to grown and maybe someday we will see a Tomato Bar at home.

My wife and I went to dinner at 4:30 pm on a Thursday and the place was almost full. We were seated right away and within a few minutes our server came over and gave us our menus and took our drink order. This is a nicely decorated place with booths and tables and very well staffed. They have a large beer over 20 on tap and wine menu along with Coke products. Our server came back a few minutes later and took our order. My wife ordered the Portobello sandwich, and I went with Bianco pizza. It took about 10 minutes for our food to arrive. Everything looked and smelled great. The Portobello sandwich was full of mushroom flavor, and it was well balanced with the spinach. My Bianco pizza was a great combination of flavors and cooked perfectly. I really liked the feta cheese on top and the crust was crisp and tasty. Overall, this was a really nice place to have a date night with the wife. It’s very comfortable and well kept on the inside and the food was very good. You get good value for the money and the server was top notch. We will most definitely be back.

This is a fun place. We had a salad that was fresh and tasty and the pizza was excellent!! Nice selection of brews and good service.

The options were wonderful. The gluten-free selection was terrific. My boys were trying to figure out just how far of a drive it would be to come here again. The answer is just under 7 hours. The gluten-free pizza crust is thin but soft. The topping options are vast. They can make most of their menu gluten-free. The staff are kind and knowledgeable. Kid-friendliness: They seem to welcome families. Parking: The lot in front of the strip mall seemed to be in high demand. There did seem to be some spots though. Dietary restrictions: They were able to accommodate gluten-free diets. Most of the menu can be made gluten-free and there are up charges for gluten-free bread and crusts. They are very cautious, but do say that some cross contamination is possible. We didn't seem to have any problems though.

Greeted and seated quickly during lunch, ordered 3 pizzas and a appetizers for $50! Service was amazing and the pizza is definitely the best in Valpo! Features: It's clean

Every time we go either dine in or pickup window, we have a great experience. My favorite pizza is the Reef. So many delicious flavors going on there. The spicy dough-nuts bread sticks basically are made so fresh and have a rich flavor to them. They are hearty too, not skimping on portion sizes. The spicy ones are the best in my opinion. Drinks were always filled or topped off even before we needed refills. I have never had a bad experience here and will continue to buy from them from time to time. This is what all upscale pizza places should model after. Well done!
