I was introduced to Tomahawk tonight and was absolutely impressed! First off, the service was fantastic and our server was fast, friendly and played along with our playful group. There was no rush to order even when the restaurant started getting busy and he made sure our drinks were filled. The appetizers were delicious and absolutely enough to be shareable! I ordered the Ahi Tuna and it was delicious. Quite honestly, one of the best meals I have ever eaten. From the moment we walked through the door until the moment we left we were treated like family. This was an experience I will absolutely be repeating!
The food was delicious and the staff was top notch. I went there with my friends and had a lovely dinner. I really wanted to try the bone marrow and was not disappointed. Cocktails were nice, we tried a bunch of appetizers - portions were generous and we split a dessert the creme brulee was super creamy, delicate and flavorful. The weather was great so we decided to stay on the patio, the background music was not too loud so we could have a nice chat. We also appreciated that they had several options for vegetarians we tried the artichoke dip and the cauliflower YUMMM.
AMAZING STEAK. Wine selection was impressive. Service was friendly and inviting. Decor - modern steak house leveled up. Lots of private seating, very warm and inviting. My partner and I usually have to go downtown for this level of fine dining. LOVE this place. New fave date spot!
Exceeded expectations! 10/10 Oysters $2 Oyster special on Friday did not disappoint! We had the burger and ravioli and everything tasted amazing. Restaurant was quite empty with Stampede, so it was nice to be spoiled with peace and quiet and great attention from the staff. Food was priced really well especially considering the quality and portion sizes. Great job you guys - starting up a restaurant in these difficult times is not an easy feat. Look forward to trying more of the menu on another visit!
Hmmmm. I've read the reviews before making the reservation, and what I read was not promising. We arrived 10 before 8, ordered around 8:15, but got our order around 9:45PM. So you can just imagine.. I know they have an ongoing promo, so they're slammed, but I guess I expected more. More preparation or more staff in the kitchen. Our server was lovely and attentive, and I can imagine her stress, being an ex-server too. We still gave tips though at that point we just wanna go home and forget about eating. So.. tips: 1. Make your reservation and ask for the name who took your reservation. We had a little problem with ours. 2. Try to order ahead maybe? 3. Go before 5PM.
We went with a large group to check them out… we waited and hour just to get water.They close at 9pm on Mondays.. they took our orders at 8:45.. our Reso was for 7:30. The servers were un aware we were even there. It was 9:30 when we finally got our food..I’ve never been that hungry while being in a restaurant. The front of house service definitely needs a little help, but the food was good so hats off the the kitchen…just not worth waiting 2.5 hours for.
Visited the Tomahawk last week with family, it was my sister's birthday and we were there a birthday dinner. From the service to the ambience to the food, it was fantastic. The steaks were properly seasoned, and cocktails were delicious
This was the first time at Tomahawk but it will not be our last. The service was outstanding. We had Martin as a server and he was exceptional. We had numerous people that helped at our table from Fredriko to other managers. The food was great and prices are on par with other steak houses. Lots of options to choose from. If this restaurant keeps up the quality of food and service it will continue to be very successful. Thank you for our great experience!
We were craving a good steak and we really wanted to enjoy Tomahawk. We gave it a shot despite the 3.7 rating and less than flattering reviews.  First red flag, the restaurant was empty at peak dinner hour 630 PM. Overall, if I had to describe the experience in a couple words, they would be OVERPRICED, SALTY. The first thing we ordered was a Mango Mojito, which took 10 minutes to arrive despite the bar having zero customers. It was disgusting.  The only semblance of anything Mango was a sad, dried piece of Mango at the bottom of the glass. Otherwise, it tasted strongly of rum and dried, bitter lime. The drink was garnished with an old lime and a wilted piece of Basil. Sad. The bartender either has no idea how to make a drink, or simply doesn't care. For our appetizers we ordered the bone marrow and bocconcini cheese salad. The bone marrow was good as was the salad pretty hard to eff up a salad, but $20 for a salad with 5 pieces of fried cheese ? For the entrees we had the Tenderloin and Bone In Striploin.  Tenderloin was delicious,  cooked perfectly, amazingly tender but a bit salty. The striploin was unevenly cooked, but tolerable.. and a bit salty. We tried all 4 side sauces which were all insanely salty and the bearnaise sauce was separated and looked like half melted butter. This restaurant needs to drop their prices significantly, or up their quality substantially, or they will not survive. This isn't the high end steak restaurant they are tying to be.  The service from our waitress was really good. She was friendly and attentive. The only other staff member I physically saw was the manager who seemed nice, but was sitting in the bar on his laptop the entire time. I wish Tomahawk well,  but I won't return.
Service are great. We didn't understand the parts of the restaurant and were placed uncomfortable but the servers are understanding and relocated us somewhere comfortable. Foods are GREAT! I am want to thank Whitney and EnaiseI hope is speel it right for great customer service!!! Hope to come again!
