Grassroots Cafe

An amazing little spot. Always clean and tidy, with plenty of seating. Staff are always friendly. A nice place to sit down and relax after a long class. Food has been wonderful and they do offer some gluten free options. There is a small student discount offered at this cafe.

This place is the definition of hit or miss. The food is great, don't get me wrong, much better than the Tim Horton's on campus, but the service.. sometimes super speedy and great, sometimes extremely slow, and honestly the staff looks scared of their boss. Super specific about portion sizing, I asked for a little bit of cheese on my mac and cheese, and got flat out told no.. When you have mac and cheese should there not be cheese on it??? I'll come back and give this place another chance, but my last experience was particularly bad. The tall caucasian dude with the light blue eyes, somewhat curly dark brown hair and black hoodie was very friendly and nice, quick service with him too, havent seen him in a while which is a shame.

Friendly service, but the prices are absurd. Certain things have better value than others. Most of the food is unfortunately quite bland though, such as the mac & cheese. The Sweet Thai wrap is pretty tasty. The drinks are good and decently priced.

I find the food served here is usually good and the staff is usually super friendly. The only issue I can find with this place is the prices are a little more than I would love. Fortunately, this place is usually pretty good about helping avoid all my extreme odd allergies.

I eat here err day. Good portions, decent prices, local beer on tap at a GREAT price, wonderful staff. And all the money goes back to students. Plus the line is shorter than Tim's.

Stopped for a bit of brekky and was blown away! The staff were super friendly and attentive. The flat white was perfectly crafted and the Gorge lives up to it’s name! DO NOT miss this little gem when you visit Port Campbell!

The new renovations give off a nicer atmosphere but it's menu is a bit lacking in variety. The food is Decent nonetheless. I eat there when I'm on campus.

I haven't tried much because their samosa wrap is just THAT delicious.

Great food, amazing staff and service. Shorter line than Tim's and students get a discount. Can't beat that!

Mediocre quality food for above average prices. Despite this, probably the best option on the campus due to the dining area.
