Timber Bar & Grill

Always like the atmosphere there. Damn good cooks, owners and bartenders are great people. They use REAL hamburger and they " kill" it for me, as Frank's says. Each to his own taste when you eat there.

I stopped in Big Timber on the way to Billings to have a drink and get something to eat. I went to The Grand but the kitchen wasn't open. I decided to go see if the Timber Bar was serving food and was given the best Bar experience I've had in Montana. The food was delicious- BEST bar food in Montana. I was expecting the usual mediocre food but was surprised to find there were several choices of more than the usual burger and fries. I highly recommend the shrimp skewers and the jo-jos were exceptional. My steak was cooked perfectly and the salad was fresh and tasty not stale like it is common to get at a bar. The beverage selection was extensive and I think they had just about anything anyone could want. The staff & owner were super friendly and respectful. You could tell the owners take a lot of pride in the place and what they are offering. Definitely stop here if you get the chance.

I got the one pound burger. It was an meal to remember. It was amazing experience starting with the smell of it cooking all the way to finishing the last bite. There are beers here you can't find anywhere else, and just the chillest atmosphere. If you are in Big Timber, you need to eat and drink here, end of story.

Stopped in for a late lunch while traveling thru. Got here just in time for live band! Food was good, prices reasonable. A great stop that I highly recommend!

Best beer bar in Montana, period. This place is seriously killing it! Food is great, and I appreciate the locally sourced meats. The prime rib we had tonight was outstanding, and fair priced. Be sure to order to house made bleu cheese with your salad. Service is great, too. Great stop for I-90 travelers and folks coming off adventures in Big Timber, be sure to take a t-shirt home.
