Classy restaurant, went in for dinner and it was a pleasant experience. Waiters are friendly and checked on us frequently filling water, taking away empty dishes … didn’t have to ask for them to come, excellent job! -Mushroom soup: 5/5 lots and lots of mushrooms inside, nicely seasoned. Decent appetizer forgot to take a picture of it because it smells too good and I can’t wait to taste it, next thing I noticed, the bowl was empty -Daily special Pasta: 3/5 the presentation is pleasant, but the flavor is not my favorite. -Buffalo strip lion steak: 5/5 the steak taste awesome, and the mushroom sauce is even better, sided with mashed potato and baked veggies. The washroom is over all clean and modernized. However the tight space is really awkward for people sharing this washroom.
Awesome meal. I would recommend the fondue and Veal dish. Our server was extremely attentive and gave us excellent recommendations. This is an underrated spot in Banff!! Give it a try!
Unbelievable food. We ordered the Haida Gwaii Chanterelle mushrooms, the gnocchi and smoked duck, and the osso bucco. We had to wait a bit for our mains, but the ambience and amazing customer service made up for it.
I cannot recommend Ticino enough! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive and the food was absolutely spectacular. The Veal Zurich was probably one of the best restaurant meals I’ve ever had, and the Apple strudel was the perfect ending to the dinner. If you are on the fence about stopping here - don’t be, it’s worth it. My only regret is now I will be dreaming about this meal until the next time I come to Banff !
Had a great dinner here for our first year anniversary. Food was fantastic, service was outstanding and the decor is very unique.Food: 5/5
We’ve wanted to come here for ages, and the food did not disappoint. It was a first for cheese fondue, and we loved it. The mains were delicious, albeit pricey. The service, when present was excellent, but sparse and a slow. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and would come back to try something else!
Love to come here a few times a year when I make it to Banff. This is a local family-run business with fresh food and great service with friendly waitstaff. I always get the mushroom soup, no matter what else I order, but everything is good. The proprietor is very friendly and engaging, and remembers us even though we are from Calgary and it is always several months between visits.
Wonderful staff. Great attention without being intrusive. The staff we interacted with spoke multiple languages. The food was tasty and was of high quality. Apparently they hand make many of the sauces rather than buying canned sauces. It is a great place to take someone special for a special night out. I recommend this restaurant.
We had a most wonderful time. My wife and I came here and the food was really delicious. Service was a top notch. Tiramisu excellent and they had fruit on the outside with whipped cream a little bit different than normal. We were completely satisfied. Try I think you'll like it too.
This may be the best restaurant in Banff. Casual vibes, but 5-star food. Had the seared cod special and the spaghetti. All was fantastic, fresh tasting and impossible to stop eating. Also had the “famous” mushroom cream soup and it lived up to the hype. Also highly recommend the Swiss wine! All in all a 10/10 experience in Banff
