We were trying to try out a new dive bar and the regulars there were super mean. They have a shuffle board table but we got yelled at by “regulars” when we tried to use it even tho there was no indication anyone was playing like IDs or people standing by it. Would not recommend. They had live music but we left before it started b/c the people there sucked!

Great heady bar. Old time place that takes you back to great corner bars where the people are super friendly, bartender is good with the mixed drinks and quick with cold beer. This place is all about the atmosphere. Jukebox has great selections of the grateful dead, cheese, moe and more. It is a real hidden gem

Awesome deadhead bar. Can get a little too hot sometimes, though.

Classic Milwaukee institution. Not to be missed. You haven't been to Milwaukee if you haven't been to Thurmans. UPDATE! Open again. New owners. They've made some drastic improvements, while maintaining the spirit of the bar. Things are clean and new, including new lines and taps, new cooler, so beer is fresh and cold. New POS system, new shuffleboard table, shiny new pinball tables, clean bathrooms!! If you remember Thurmans back in the day, this is huge. Great selection of brews and booze too. Go check it out!

Local dive that caters to dead heads. Relaxed atmosphere and cheap drinks try to make up for the warm beer and dirty draft lines. They do have some pinball and bar games. Also, they live stream grateful dead concerts.

Great place! We always stop when we’re in Milwaukee!

Great Chill MKE Bar

Bartending is hit or miss, crowd can be a bit hostile, drink prices vary based on who you are and who is serving. Decor has been updated. Good heady bar in general.
