Nothing spectacular and everything is around $25 or up besides the burgers and appetizers. The bison meatballs were horrible I couldn’t even eat them. My boyfriend got the chubby sirloin and he said it was dry but the flavor was great. I got the impossible burger and it wasn’t anything special. The French onion soup was good but not the best I’ve ever had. They give you complimentary bread with oil for dipping. It would have been nice if the oil had some herbs in it but it was just plain oil. Looking at the menu the salads were expensive and made with iceberg lettuce which isn’t expensive so not sure why the salads were so pricey. Also the burgers only come with cheese and a brioche bun and they are $15. They also portion your ketchup for your fries in a tiny cup which I though was weird. I’m sure I could have asked for more ketchup but didn’t bother. I think there are much better restaurants in the area for a fraction of the price.
We stayed next door at the Holiday Inn a couple times and we have eaten here 2 times. I personally like the layout and the location as there are not too many bigger restaurants like Thunder Bay in the area. Now the food is honestly sometimes confusing. They have some dishes that are very good and others that are just bad it's weird how things vary so much. Being in the business consistency is key and I see that being one problem and another is their recipes are little off. For example their bruschetta had melted goat cheese on it and it killed the whole flavor of the dish. The salads were good and the chicken and shrimp were great. We will keep trying different dishes when we're in the area. It's a solid place that would be even better with some subtle changes.
Great salad bar! Had the bison meatloaf dinner. It was good, though, could be a little lighter on the liquid smoke. The service was great with being out on the patio! Dogs welcome!
I can review from two visits, both of which were wonderful! Dinner with two friends was more food than we could eat. The Salmon Fresca and Seafood Fondue were the best we have found. The full slab of ribs gave me 3 meals. The sides were tasty and since it was Monday we had a 1/2 price bottle of wine. Our server Shannon did a great job and the evening was all we hoped for. So we returned for Happy Hour in the bar and enjoyed a few drinks and appetizers. Pictures are of the french onion soup and the bruschetta. This time our server was Andrea who also took great care of us. Again the food was outstanding. The atmosphere in the dining room and in the bar areas are comfortable and not overly loud. The food options are all worthwhile and the happy hour is nice for a quick stop-in. We are already planning our next meal here. Parking: Lots of spaces but I imagine it gets filled on busy nights. Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant has one outside step from the parking lot to the front door and then the seating is on one floor. Doable for wheelchair access with one step help.
We Had a wonderful time! Bruschetta was the best I've ever had. The salad bar was incredible and tony at the bar was good company. We will be back soon
Ordered the Beef Wellington with Parmesan Garlic Potatoes and the salas bar. Omg the salad bar was amazing. It had 2 soups plus all the fixings to have a salad to die for. We also ordered 4 cheese stuffed mushrooms. They where also amazing. When it came to the Beef Wellington I was not impressed. The puff pastry was raw I was looking for a nice golden brown crust. As you see in the photos it was not a flaky crust. The hubby also had Beef Wellington with fries and asparagus. He also agreed that the crust was not cooked property. We would go back to try other items on the menu. Very cool place to look at all the native american items and motif.
I had only been here years ago for their brunch which was always delicious but this past week we went for dinner and the food, service, and, atmosphere was top notch. Will be back to try more menu items.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: YesCurbside pickup: Yes
We had reservations for 6 people for 11:30. We were seated on time. We placed our orders. One gal asked for coffee. It was warm. She needed to have it reheated. I asked for Sprite. I got the equivalent. It tasted like seltzer. I asked for root beer which the waitress did bring me. We didn’t get our food until after 12:30. We noticed that people who came in after us, got their food and we were still waiting. We asked our waitress when we’re we getting our food and she said they have a big group in another room. She also said we should have ordered the salad bar. The salad bar was not on the menu. I pointed out that others who came in after us were eating. No response. We all ordered the soup and half sandwich. It was very good. Too bad it took so long to get our food. I’ve eaten there many times before and have always been happy. Today was a poor experience. Totally disappointed. Parking: Parking lot was almost when I arrived.
We had a reservation for last night. We were sat right away. It took almost 10 minutes for our server to greet us and take our drink and appetizer order. Drinks were delivered and one was wrong. It took about 15 minutes to get the correct one. We were short a set of silverware and asked for one. No one brought us one. I never got the salad I ordered with my meal. When our meals were delivered the prime rib was very tough and looked like it had been sitting under the heat lamp for 2 days. My Parmesan crusted steak was practically rare/almost raw, very fatty and under the overcooked and over seasoned Parmesan crust. The salad bar was good.
Over priced Sunday brunch. They now have less food on the buffet. It use too have 3 big round tables. Now they are down to two round tables. We had to wait for our drinks and the bartender was our server. We were seated in the room off the side of the bar. They shouldn't be stretching a bartender to leave a bar and have a station. Makes you wonder how long the people in the dining room waited
