I've eaten at Thrive several times but not on a frequent basis. I really enjoy the Hercules bowl. The chipotle oil and almond hummus make this bowl very flavorful. The staff are very friendly and usually fairly quick. Price is a bit much. $3-4 off a bowl would be more reasonable. Definitely worth trying!
The Hercules bowl was appetizing and healthy. Their dishes looked very well prepared with artistic touches. The coffee was ok, but nothing outstanding. A simple Keurig machine would go a long way. The little desert ball, ok. I would have preferred prices reflecting $3 less per plate. The service was fast and excellent. I recommend this place. It was worth the ride from North York and the food suitable for a vegetarian couple. Rhey have a washroom inside and bike parking, outside ‍ ‍
Basically a $16 wrap with spinach; it’s also the only texture aside from the toasted wrap. Lacks flavour! My first visit and I will not be back.
I have been purchasing food/drink from them since they came out when I was doing massage down the street from them. They are the best and only restaurant I trust for online delivery in my area. Businesses need to take notes from them on how to make food ! I always taste and feel the love put into their dishes, thank you Thrive ! Thank you for providing healthier options :-
I’m not vegan, but I eat vegan mostly. It was my vegan friends and she choose this restaurant. I’m glad she did. The food was so delicious. We’ll definitely go back. The Mexican Black Bean soup was really good. They have a cashew cookie that I fell in love with. There is parking in the back and a few in the front. I was glad we chose this place because downtown it’s always hard to find parking. The atmosphere was also good, the service was good friendly staffs.
Love the food here as it is wholesome and tasty, although it is a bit pricey perhaps for the area. Comfortable…I always meet friends here- there’s a lot of space. Music usually a bit loud.
Nice place with lots of healthy food choices, even the deserts seemed to be good for you. Lots of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options are available. Our food was tasty and considering that it’s all organic, the prices are reasonable for that matter. The interior reminds me on a canteen, although it has some cozy corners. The staff was friendly and the food was delivered very fast, but there where only a few people at that time. If you are looking for a healthy meal, this is definitely a place to go!
We discovered this place when we were in the neighborhood on a weekend morning and was really impressed by the food, ambiance and the staff. Food: We started off with their smoothies - Recovery, and Immunity - and they both were great. Very refreshing with great taste. For the breakfast, we went with their Energy Breakfast which is scrambled tofu served with mixed greens, some veggies, cashew cheese, guacamole, and 3 blue corn tortillas. It was good although I am not a big fan of blue corn tortillas. But otherwise, it was great. We also ordered Mushroom Pizza which was fine. I wasn't really impressed with the thick breaddy edge of the pizza which is not really healthy. Having said that, the toppings were great. However, the star of the meal was the Tigernut Tiramisu that we had at the end - absolutely delicious. Ambiance: It's a great place for the weekend brunch - very open and very bright which is always good. There is plenty of seating available - in terms of quantity as well as the variety. The overall decor is very contemporary. There are also some of the packaged food for purchase as well. Staff: Very friendly staff and timely service. Overall, a great place for a vegan brunch!!
Tasty, but expensive with smaller/ medium portions for the price. Went there with my two daughters for lunch. The ambiance is comfortable and open. The food came out fairly quickly and overall tasted good though a bit earthy. The salads with our tacos were too tiny to be called a salad... they were in little condiment cups. The overall flavor was light but earthy. All three of us felt hungry in just a few hours because the tacos were light on dense protein and felt mainly carb based. Either way if you're really hungry with a big appetite this may not work for you. Extra guacamole will hit you $3. Want a little cheese on the side ? Another $3. Add guacamole and cheese to your lunch tacos and your lunch bill is $21 plus tax plus tip. Pricey, I would say. If I just want vegetarian food get it somewhere else like an indian vegetarian place where you can get double the portions for half the price, and richer flavors too. If you must have organic then be willing to pay extra to eat here. Good flavor, but pricey and medium portions. We asked for a calorie menu and they didnt have it. I think that's required by law now isn't it ?
Love this place: they have amazing variety of food and drinks, everything super healthy and delicious substantial too. I love their citrus cleanse juice, dragon fruit bowl and amigo burrito. Can’t go wrong with those!
