I got to get my enjoyment outta the trail walking and the peaceful landscape all in one place.

This is one of the most scenic parks in the area for hiking, cross country skiing, fishing and kayaking. The picnic area is is a nice spot, with tables and fire pits and a year round shelter, location is a great place for swimming with kids too. Unfortunately, though beautifully groomed for winter activities, the trails are not as well maintained in the summer--they aren't mowed often enough and can get fairly overgrown, which makes access more difficult than it should be.

This is one of my favorite parks! I got married here and spend a lot of time here all year round!

There is NO public 3 Island Lake County Park access off of Bittersweet Rd. To get to the public water access, park shelter, or trails, take the Gull Lake Loop Rd. to the County Park Rd.
