Can't give enough great feedback for this company. From the courteous ladies answering the phone calls to the plumber (Robert S.) that came, everyone was very friendly and easy to deal with. Robert was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to both explain what plumbing repairs were needed as well as to provide a free estimate before starting any work. All the work was completed promptly, neatly and to my satisfaction. Will not hesitate to recommend this company to friends and family.

Prompt, helpfull and answered all questions with a straightforward answer So far so good. The crew arrived on schedule and went to work in a very professional manner, explaining as they went. Hooked up the new water line in a really clean uncluttered way, cleaned up everything, filled holes in basement walls and swept mud and debris from sidewalks and road. First class all the way. Highly recommend them to anyone.

Excellent service across the board. We had a drain issue in one of our showers. After multiple attempts to address the issue ourselves, we knew it was time to call a professional. I called and spoke with Jeanette who was very friendly and attentive. Appointment was booked promptly. Paul S. was able to arrive early (which was great) and he fixed the issue immediately. He also spent a few minutes helping us understand exactly what he was doing and even took the time to evaluate a couple of other items in the shower. Overall, a pleasant experience and I would highly recommend Thos. R. Birnie & Sons in Hamilton.

I asked for a hydro flush of my drains as they were partially blocked. Services offered ranged from around $500 - $1600. (The tech recommended the $1600 option) I got it done by WM Groves for $150 This company is ridiculously expensive compared to others. Make sure you get more quotes from other companies before you take these guys at face value. Great customer service on the phones, I called before i wrote this review and hey seem like a very professional company however I for one certainly don’t want to spend 10x more than I had to to get my drains unblocked.

Our ancient water heater sprung a leak and we called Thos. R. Birnie & Sons to ask about purchase and installation of a new one. To be honest, they were my second call. Home Depot said it would be 4 days to get a new water heater installed and they could not tell me what it would cost. I called Birnie because of their reputation and fun logo! The receptionist (whose name I forget...sorry!) was cheery and helpful. She explained the process to me and arranged to have a technician come out the next morning. Jeff called about 45 minutes before his scheduled arrival time to confirm the appointment and to say he would arrive in about 40 minutes. It was exactly 40 minutes when he was at our door! He examined the tank and confirmed it should be replaced. He then left, returned with the new heater and installed it all in the same morning. He took the time to explain what he was doing each step of the way and clearly knew his stuff. My laundry room was cleaner when he left than when he arrived! I would not hesitate to call them again.
