The Wilcox Gastropub

Came here after picking up a friend from the airport. She had just came from Cuba and needed to be reminded by Toronto amazing food since she had been missing out. Was recommended to this spot by a friend and oh was it good. From the service to the ambiance and the quality of the food it did not disappoint. The sliders was rich in tenderness and flavor, the pineapple was discreet in my drink, steak tartare and bone marrow were seasoned well and presented beautifully, the truffle fries were rich in truffle oil and topped with a generous amount of Parmesan, and the Korean pickles were full of vinegar and pickled to perfection. Would definitely come back anytime as this place hit home for me. Support local businesses especially when it happens to be a great pub.

Hidden gem right in the heart of Mississauga..food was delicious, service was good. We shared a few of their shared plates + dessert, and everything had great flavour and presentation was on point. We had the raw oysters, spicy chicken, fish tacos, Spanish Octopus, and the churros and spiced lava cake for dessert. Didn't give a full 5-star because the room we were in was cold, but this was apparently because one of their heaters was in the process of being repaired; also, washroom could be cleaner- toilet had a hard time flushing, and washrooms need paper towel to avoid touching faucet and doorknobs. Otherwise, great experience- would recommend and return!

My boyfriend and I went here for date night and loved the ambiance and food. The waiter was very kind, helpful and gave great recommendations. Some items however have been changed on the menu. My boyfriend ordered the seafood Linguine and it was top notch so flavourful but sadly removed from the menu. We got the spicy fried chicken as a shareable which was yummy but there was way too much Tabasco sauce. I got the Mediterranean Power bowl which was really great flavourful and crunchy. For drinks we got the Wilcox Mule which I am seeing is off the menu. The mule was really good and delicious. The dessert was just fine. Would go again for sure!

8 dozens of oysters after and I am super satisfied! Usually the amount of oysters I order take longer to come out but Wilcox never disappoints. The truffle fries is also to die for. The fish and chips and bacon Mac and cheese was also delicious. I definitely recommend anyone to come here for some delicious apps, lunch and dinner. I usually like to take my clients here as well since the hours of operation works well. The staff was friendly and always checking up to see if we need anything else.

Great food, drinks and company. Came here with some old coworkers and the food and drinks were great! Had a few drinks and if you like mezcal tequila the Pineapple Express cocktail is quite tasty! I really enjoyed the Cobbler and Cigars which was very smooth and flavourful. The Truffle fries were tasty, the fries were great themselves where they were loaded with potato! I also got the Jerk Chicken which was massive! It was a half chicken with rice and coleslaw. Very very flavourful and tasty!

Great service by our server, friendly as well. Food overall pretty good. Favourite dish is hands down the Japanese carbonara and Korean fried hen. My group left wanting more of the two. The lobster poutine was a tad too salty I had to pack the remainder to go and didn’t end up eating it. The drinks were okay but I enjoyed watching them being made. Unfortunately I had to keep my coat on the entire meal as it was quite chilly where I was seated.

My husband and I said we would celebrate at Wilcox once we closed on our house and they did not disappoint! Service was great and our server was very friendly and personable. We ordered a full three course appetizers, mains and dessert. Food was served in a timely manner and everything we ordered was delicious. 10/10 would recommend! We look forward to coming back :

I had a very poor customer experience here tonight! I ordered the t-bone medium rare and it came back to me medium-well and heavily charred. Two others at the table got the butchers cut also cooked medium rare one seen across from me and the colour is noticeably different. I'm usually not one to complain so I gave it a chance and took a few bites to only realize that I had to send it back. When I got the servers attention I told her the steak was too well-done and she brought it to the kitchen. She came back and told me the kitchen says it's fine and proceeds to turn up the lights maybe so I could see the steak better? I found that insulting considering I sent it back because it tasted off, not because of the way it looked. I come here every few months so it's a shame I'm leaving this 1-star review. Yes everyone has bad nights but to refuse my claim and then charge me full price is unacceptable, especially being a long time customer. The staff could say "sir you ate the whole steak", that's only because I couldn't let the $42 dollar steak that I was really exited to eat go to waste. Unfortunately because I was in a party of 8 I was forced to pay 18% gratuity. With a dozen oysters, apps and a drink my bill was over $100. Really disappointed.

Been here a few times for lunch and once for dinner. Food and vibe is pretty good for the area. The cocktails and mocktails are excellent. The hostess was taking a phone order when we walked in today and didn’t even make eye contact or smile to acknowledge us waiting to be seated which could be improved. Service for food and drinks is always slow, too. I’d go back when in the mood for a fancy drink.

Beautiful place. Great vibe. We hav had a business dinner and it was great. Everyone loved the place. Destiny was helping and she was extremely nice and helped us to with the menu and finding the best wine. Food presentation was excellent and the taste was alright. Overall cant leave without leaving a 5-star review as we enjoyed the time over there.
