The VUE - Boutique Hotel

The room was larger than we expected. We stayed for Dells on Tap and had a room with 2 queen beds and bunk beds. The bathroom was very large and clean. We were street view but we didn’t care since we were in town for an event. The hot tub and pool were great! There is even a sauna that my husband was thrilled about. Will definitely be staying again especially considering the reasonable prices. For those questioning the resort fee, I think pretty much any hotel in the Dells charges that as it is a “resort town”.

We were excited about our stay, as it's within walking distance to downtown & a great view from your room. The people at the front desk were super friendly and fabulous! We were instantly bummed when we entered the room, it looked NOTHING like the photos on the website. They were amazing with the editing of that photo! Our room was super dark & cramped. Since there were no screens on the window & door, there were a lot of squashed bugs that we didn't squash while there, they were already there - we killed a rather big spider. The bathroom is super tiny & door doesn't lock. The bathroom is also super dark & almost as it would be in a horror movie. The water doesn't get cold to drink - and I wouldn't drink it anywhere - it smelled strange. The beds were ok, but the pillows were horrible. The room didn't stay a good temp - it was either cold or HOT! The air conditioner stopped working for a few hours on our last night. We woke up covered in sweat. The view outside the patio was AMAZING - if you book this place, I suggest a patio! And watching the sunset from the dock! Pretty amazing! Makes the other bad aspects worth it.

The property is beautiful…HOWEVER the staff, service, and policies are all horrible. “Housekeeping” stops at 4pm. If you need anything towels etc. you have to go to the front desk, which closes at 11. Anything you need after 11 has to wait til the next day. There are no phones in the rooms. You have to use your own phone to contact them during your stay. The wifi isn’t great so if you don’t have cell service you’re SOL and probably can’t contact the front desk via phone at all. We called the cafe and ordered breakfast after being on hold for 4 minutes they said our food would be ready FOR PICKUP in 15 minutes. We waited for over a half hour. No apologies from anyone. I can’t imagine how long it would have taken if it was delivered 18% gratuity & card fees apply. When I made the reservation I asked if they could do anything special for my boyfriends birthday on Saturday. They offered to have the restaurant send us a bottle of champagne. Perfect, right?! Nope. Never happened. We had an issue with a room key. The front desk lady was so annoyed, she felt the need to dumb it down and slowly explain it’s just the deadbolt. For 5 minutes! When asking staff for literally anything, it feels like you’re being a nuisance.

The view is so amazing! Highly recommend a room overlooking the river. The service was awesome and the rooms were very clean. It is so close to down town and right off of the river walk so it's really easy to get to stores and restaurants close by. The restaurant in the hotel has great food as well. Was a little disappointed the first time we went there for dinner because I asked for steak sauce and they gave me gravy, but there was also a slight language barrier so I didn't hold it against them. The view from the restaurant is gorgeous as well because it overlooks the river. Great place for a couples getaway! Even with it being so close to the downtown it's quiet. There was even a large group of families with kids there for a sports event and we didn't hear them at all from our room, balcony, or even in the hallways. Very impressed and will definitely return! Walkability: Super close to downtown and the great restaurants. Just a quick walk on the river walk and you're downtown! Plus you get the great view of the river on your walk!

Our stay was great. The staff was great. Along with very quiet and located within walking distance of one section of town. The view from the rooms on the back are breathtaking. Highly recommend this Hotel.Rooms: 5/5

We got a real shabby room, with no view. I can deal with not all rooms looking like the picture on the website, but the white sheets were stained, the bunk bed was so scratched up, it may have come from a junk heap by the side of the road & the overhead light turned on minutes after we had turned it off. The one good thing is when the elephants in the room above us were stomping at 3am, they did go up right away to the room. There wasn't a room phone to call the front desk to tell them so my friend went to the desk to report the problem.

I just stayed here for 6 nights. Everyone here treats you like family. The bartenders and staff at the restaurant are awesome. If you have any problems the staff will rush around to fix it immediately. I will definitely stay here again when I am in town.

The staff was wonderful and friendly. I took off two stars because the furniture and design of our double Queen bedroom felt outdated and crammed. The bathroom was very small. I wouldn’t consider this room to be relaxing but anxiety inducing. Other than that, the food was good at the restaurant.

Very nice place! Great staff and the view was amazing! The walls are thin though, bring ear plugs….. the guests next to us were enjoying each other a little too loud…Rooms: 4/5

Fantastic view it was from our room on 5 floor , with a balcony hidden from people’s sight - we took some great pictures when i opened a door at 6 am to see that river … omg .. my heart stopped for a moment the price was around $130 total with breakfast included, but we didn’t try it , maybe next time - we will be coming back. Service was great too .
