Food was good, specially if you don't like your food to be too spicy. If you are after more spicy variety try LaRosh or other place. Prices are spot on with BBQ items. BBQ chutney was great. Food was a little cold by the time we got home, but the weather was cold too.
The food here was amazing! We got the family pack which was fairly reasonable! The kebabs were made to perfection! The naan was pretty delicious too! Staff were pretty friendly! The salad was a bit stale but that’s okay! The rest was delicious! Overall great experience
The Village Tandoor is a brand new Pakistani restaurant that opened in Ajax on New Year's Day, taking over the space from a European restaurant. I love this type of food so, of course, I had to try it.⁠ I took advantage of their opening special of of 25% off by ordering a few dishes. ⁠ Tandoori Chicken Wings 8pcs 6.99⁠ Very flavourful, with a nice smokey flavour. Delicious! ⁠ Tandoori Meal 13.99⁠ 2 Chicken Kebab + 2 Beef Kebab⁠ 4pcs Chicken Boti + Naan + Salad⁠ This could easily serve two people. The meats were deliciously seasoned and cooked. The naan was fresh and warmed up well in the toaster oven. The salad was a very simple tossed salad, nothing out of the ordinary. Great value meal! ⁠ Chicken Biryani 6.99⁠ This was a very generous serving that could easily feed two or more people! It was also very tasty, with fluffy rice and delicious chicken. If you like Pakistani/Indian food, you'll love the food at this place. It was all delicious, with generous inexpensive portions.⁠ I will certainly be back to try more! Although this restaurant is new, the people behind it have been in the business for a while, also operating Shahi Karahi in Scarborough. I haven't been there in a while but I'm glad they came east, closer to home!
Tried for the first time after seeing the reviews on fb page. Not impressed with the quantity. The family meal is 50 bucks and the the serving is for 4 to 5 ppl which is not correct. Chicken kabab were a bit hard. Beef kabab were good but if you look at the size these are not uniform and vary in size. Chana was good. Tikka boti wasnt boneless and there were 2 wings as well and were not meaty. Raita and chutney was good. Naan were very hard to chew. Malai boti was ok. Overall they really need to work on their taste and quantity. This is the best rating i could give them considering they are fairly new. There are many other menu items you can try. I may not go back again.
We ordered a Tandoori meal, TheVillage Special and a Naan Kebab box. The food was good and fresh. Portion sizes were very good, customer service despite a few understandable hiccups for a newly opened place during a pandemic was great. We really enjoyed the beef kebab and malai tikka in particular. The chicken kebab had a little too much cumin in my opinion. Glad to have you in our neighborhood! Recently tried the Lamb Karahi and it was outstanding. Probably the best lamb Karahi I’ve ever had.
Saturday June 19th.2021 Our 1st. Catering order from Village Tandoor. Order was ready on time and was packed very professionally. Amount of food was more than enough for the entire family. Thank you once again for delicious food with salad and Rita including Tandoori Naans. Sunday May 2nd.2021 Picked up phone order, was ready right on the button. Professionally packaged, Nihari, Haleem, palak Paneer, chicken and beef kabobs with Tandoori nan and roti. Very reasonable prices and friendly services, thank you once again for keep improving your customer services. Highly recommended to try their their daily specials too. My first visit to this location. Outside set up very catchy, well done presentation with Pakistani flag flying in front of the restaurant Very friendly services. Just prepared yourself to find a nearby parking spot, very limited space. Highly recommend their Nihari and nan ,will try rest of their menu and definitely review again.
Always a wonderful experience! Big portions with so much variety. If you miss food from Lahore, than this is the place to go! From everyone’s favorite Butter Chicken, Chicken Biryani, Barbecued meats, Dahi Bara, Keema Naan, Falooda, Mango shakes, and so much more!! Everything is always on par! Great service at the same time! Always a pleasure talking to them!
The village tandoor is under New Management, I must say the food is great. Definitely worth the drive it was simply delicious I will surely come back! They are open now from 12 to 10pm
I went based on the reviews on Facebook, maybe the hype made me expect too much. I got the butter chicken family meal which tasted okay, the garlic naan was good. Not used to the rice but it was decent. I guess I was disappointed in the quantity, the tray you get is sizeable but once you get home you see it's only half full. Customer service was also not exactly what is call friendly but yeah anyways all things considered I think 3 is a fair score. . Not sure if I'd go back though
Got their biryani and kebab box. Really great food. Great portions! Reasonably priced. Very clean, great customer service. Love the small menu! Will be our families go to place in Durhum! Love the decor.
