The Village Grocer

This place brings me so much joy. It's a little slice of heaven tucked away in Unionville. The freshest produce, baked goods, prepared foods and so much more. Jelly rolls and ice cream sandwiches are a real treat. The prepared food counter has proteins and veggies that are fresh and tasty. It's pricier than your average grocery store for sure, but it's worth it if you're looking for quality.

It really enjoyed my visit to The Village Grocer. It was a small supermarket but they have the most unique things that you won’t find everywhere. The store was very clean and well organized. They decorated nicely with pumpkins when we shop during the Thanksgiving weekend. The prepared meals counter also have a great variety of cooked dishes that we could buy for our dinner. It was great that they have fresh made oven cooked turkey that we could buy to add to our homemade thanksgiving dinner. Another surprise that I found there was their cake shop. It was totally amazing! They have some beautiful cakes, cute looking cupcakes and tasty muffins. We were so excited to buy them home. I got their signature Lemon Meringue Pie small size, two cupcakes and two pumpkin cranberry muffins. They were yummy and did not disappoint us at all. The price was not cheap compared to other grocery stores but I considered it reasonable for the high quality. It’s worth your visit if you want to buy some special items and high quality goods.

The Jellyroll cake is really yummy and the price is also pretty reasonable. $25.99 for a big size, probably enough for 6 to 8 people... We love to get this cake for special occasions once in a while. The cookie was delicious as well. There are lots of interesting products in the store and the service was great. However, the samosas were quite expensive... $2.99 each for either chicken or vegetable samosa...

My family and I love going to The Village Grocer. We used to go to their previous location years ago but once they moved to Kennedy and 16th, everything got so much better. The customer service is always great on every visit. There are lots of speciality items to choose from including beautiful flowers, plants and delicious fruits. The jelly roll is my favourite item from there. It contains sponge cake rolled in whipped cream with various berries in between. It always makes for a great contribution to any event. Just be aware of the prices when visiting because some items are very inflated compared to your average grocery store.

A neighbourhood fine food grocery store, featuring top notch high end produce & meat, extensive in-store bakery and deli counter, with ready made food, sandwiches, soups & salads. Eating area is available for coffee, lunch or snacks. Store made ice creams are extra creamy with seasonal fruit flavours.

I like to go shopping at the Village Grocer. It’s not a big supermarket, yet you can explore so many things!! Especially, I love their bakery. I think the Mixed Berries Jelly Roll is their signature! If you have not try it yet, you MUST. It is soft, moderate sweetness, and fully stuffed fruits are well balanced together! It became our family’s birthday cake!!

If you ever go to Village Grocery, you must try their Jelly Roll Log Cake! It’s the best & must have at our gatherings. Tried their apple pie tonight and we all enjoyed it, especially with ice on cream on top! My daughter loves their macarons two Sizes and cannolis! I love their flatbread pizza and almost everything else! Their stuff there aren’t cheap but always fresh and good quality.

2022 January 4 a very nice and cozy supermarket serving the nearby community. Lots of unique products on the shelves that you typically wouldn't find in larger chains or big box stores makes this place a must visit for special items. They continue to have an assortment of frozen foods in the freezer. Recently had their home made ice cream - Ferro Rocher and it was awesome! Made of cream and other regular ingredients nothing you couldn't pronounce. A bit pricier than other ice cream, but definitely worth the money for the unique flavors. Staff continues to be good. 2018 4 Staff is nice and friendly. The bakery is awesome. Deli is great too. Good cheese selection. We often come for the bakery. They got some unique assortment of stuff on the shelves that you won't find elsewhere -- and one of the other reasons why you should pay a visit. The extra premium is worth it. Cozy place. Good atmosphere.

Everything here is curated and meets a standard of quality from their foods, sweets, bakery to the decorations. Although quite pricey, I would say it is worth it. Highly recommend their cakes, bread, scones and other bakery items. Their food section with pizzas, olives and deli meats and also really good.

My family and I shop here a lot and our go to is always the strip loin steak and bakery items. Along with their strip loin steaks and apple pie, we also bought two packages of their Mamma Emma Gnocchi to make for Thanksgiving Dinner. Unfortunately the gnocchi was spoiled and tasted sour after boiling and this was from both packages. They had an expiry date of October 30th, 2022 and I had bought it on October 8th.
