An inviting comfortable and lovely atmosphere, with fresh local art and regular performances. Order at the bar, the food is delicious, the service is slow yet worth it, a great selection of drinks (hot, cold and alcohol). Baked goods (including sandwich bread), dressings and drink syrups are made in house and locally sourced food is prioritized! Such a nice place to have a meeting, enjoy our community, get some work done or take in some great entertainment and find a safe place

Vegan people be careful, the vegan soup had meat in it by accident. Every other experience was good,so far it was one of my favorite places to go and they now have more options for vegan deserts. Vegan deserts are very good.

What can a person say about the Vault but just GO I don’t live in Nanaimo but this is always my stop for coffee. They also have a terrific desert and baked goods selection as well as fresh made meals. Go for a breakfast sometime too and be blown away by the choices. They do have a few craft beers on tap too. The atmosphere is like nothing else and the cafe is in a recognized national heritage building. The coffee and food is served on mis matched vintage plates and cups. Yup staff are super friendly and courteous. The Vault also does lots of live performances and entertainment.

I have only been here a couple times but I would like to be a regular. I absolutely LOVE the atmosphere!! Fantastic aesthetic & the staff is very amiable. I once had a beautiful blueberry pastry & asked who made it because it was so delicious, & the staff member who baked it gave me a thumbs up gesture. Made me smile, food is great, drinks are great. Love to draw & study here. Some nights they let local artists strut their stuff. My only suggestion may be for more meal options but then again their selection's pretty good. Better "a few things done well" then a big menu terribly done. :) Highly recommended.
