The Uptowner Café On Grand

Been going here for years! Chocolate chip pancakes are amazing + they serve a generous amount of hash-browns. Their Groupon makes their already fair prices that much better. Worth trying if you enjoy wholesome breakfast food for a good price. Parking: Parking in the back-lot for $5 or street parking is free.

Hole in the wall place advertising all day breakfast. Looked like a cool locals type of place. Friendly staff, I took the waitress recommendation of the Cajun breakfast and didn’t regret the choice. At first I thought it was expensive, but between the quality and the size, I’d say it’s worth the price.

Really good! Went there for breakfast with my friend for her birthday and had a good time. Cute drawings from kids on the walls— very homey. You can see the cooks and flat tops— and all the workers seemed very happy! Good food— had some vegetarian options too. I have the Cajun breakfast with a bunch of chalulas hot sauce on top!! Good stuff!

First time going here, got a Tex Max burrito takeout. There was nothing Tex Mex about it, other than a little salsa on top. For an $18 burrito, it was very plain and underwhelming, and although decent size, definitely not worth it.

Parking was OK a pay lot for $5. or street. Food and service are good. Little bit pricey.

Always a great place for breakfast! My daughter used to live here and moved out of state. She was here for 2.5 days and her only food request was to come here for breakfast. As always, they didn't disappoint with wonderful comfort food, great service, and a pleasant atmosphere.

It's really neat hole in the wall diner. The food was really good and the service was great. They got everything out quick and it was all right. My daughter didn't like her grilled cheese, they replaced it with a cheeseburger no questions asked.

The food we had at The Uptowner was AWESOME - very down to earth diner style - big portions - quick service. But when you talk about the breakfast burrito - it brings this conversation to a new level - the salsa is INCREDIBLE - and still a large portion. The flavors work together SO well - a masterpiece!!
