Absolutely love it here. Emily who runs the place is brilliant, and now I'll be in Paris St least twice a month, I'll be frequenting this pub often.
Choice of beers is quite nice. Way overpriced food however. So come have a beer or two and then go elsewhere. Or have food before coming.
A true cosy English pub in Paris, sometimes overcrowded as they come mixing French and English locals... Friendly team, good music, we almost won the musical quiz there once.
I came to Cross of St George Pub with friends to celebrate a birthday and was pleasantly surprised about the establishment. The pub itself bills itself as a true English pub, complete with a beer selection that is void of anything mainstream French e.g., no 1664, Pelforth, Chouffe, etc.... Additionally, most of everything on the menu is homemade including the hand peeled fries which are done in large batches daily. The staff were French but with incredible levels of English and very friendly! I had a good time, the only gripe was that their base lager could have been a little less expensive - almost 7€ for a pint.
Absolutely a fantastic pub. The staff is very friendly. They have a great cider/beer selection, will kindly offer samples to make sure you enjoy your selections. The only thing I wish is that they opened earlier than 17:00 on Friday's. Very close to multiple metro stations. I highly recommend it.
Travelled all the way to Paris ... meet my team of engineers for lunch and they choose The Cross of St George... home from home they said. Quite literally the walls are covered in old photos of the Charles Wells brewery in Bedford - home from home indeed. Great food and beer and good banter with the staff ... just like a real pub.
